I didn't hear if anyone was planning for a live thread of the film tonight. Just in case anyone wants to start early. Some in Australia already have seen part 1. Part 1 airs tonight at 8pm Eastern Time on ABC.

My newsie kids (17 year old daughter / 22 year old son) said this wasn't publicized much because Clinton would have had to say what he was going to do about it and he was waiting on the next election so it would be someone else's problem.

And Clarke told the 9/11 commission Clinton did more fighting terrorism than Bush. Something stinks bad.

"Is it just me or is Clarke coming off as a hero?"
He had a perfect record. He didn't stop a single terrorist attack.

ABC sure showed kindness to Albright in their casting ...
Albright, played by Shirley Douglas
The real Albright

We haven't even gotten to the Cole yet, where we meet the delightfully lying bitch, Barbara Bodine, who cuts the legs out from under O'Neill.

Supposedly they took out 30 minutes.

I don't think it insulates him, it makes it apparent that he wouldn't make decisions that could be traced to him. He left it to his appointees, who were terribly inept. And because of his methods our country was attacked and thousands of innocent people killed.

And others have been making the same point on different threads for weeks.
To: mware
After 40 minutes of all that noise and subtitled gibberish, I can safely say I am more fearful of what my city, county, state, and federal governments can do to me in the guise of preventing terrorism, than I am of the terrorists themselves.

"the whole Clintoon admin and then the leftie socialists all the way back to the McCarthy hysteria when the commies were getting busted is to blame for lack of a decent war against our enemies."
It was also the FBI and NYPD, because after the first WTC bombing, they refused to believe that the perps could be part of a larger network. They thought they were just local guys who wanted to make a name for themselves.

Just the other day a klintonista on TV was insisting the bubba was totally focused on terrorism. That he stopped the Milennium bomber. They're still lying thru their teeth.
