I didn't hear if anyone was planning for a live thread of the film tonight. Just in case anyone wants to start early. Some in Australia already have seen part 1. Part 1 airs tonight at 8pm Eastern Time on ABC.

I don't think so; they already had a couple breaks like that that would be where commercial breaks would be if they aired this with commercials like in Australia.
That is why they put up the rating.
I don't believe the pauses are where cuts are made. That is where a commercial would be.

That scene has been modified. It was alot longer on the clip posted on the internet. If I recall, Berger sastated he couldn't contact the President at that precise moment and that he'd get back to them.

Thanks! I am loving this vacation...I really needed a break. Especially after the increased hostilities in Baghdad and the tensions of the Israel-Hezbollah war and wondering if Iran was going to mex up in it.
This movie is surprisingly...objective. I'm not seeing a lot of MSM-slant all over it. Perhaps they didn't dare?
