I was certainly fooled by the title of the story. I thought it was about THIS minigun:

Can you get a trigger lock for that? (Can you even pull the trigger?)

Whoever wrote this alarmist piece of claptrap is an idiot. Not even an idiot of the highest order but one of the lower level non-exceptional idiots.

The seller had it right. Absolutely ridiculous. Had the terrorists on 9-11 used these we'd have never had a problem.

--looks like it could probably develop an ounce or two of muzzle energy--

People have been making miniature pistols for a long, long time. Check this site out...it's very interesting:

These bullets could be aimed at the face.

Wow! What sort of technology makes that possible?!

I can't believe anyone with half a brain is wasting their time worrying about this.

Above URL goes to an Antique Handgun site.
They have so many types of handguns with photos and information.

Some of my favorites are the harmonica gun and a turret gun.

Pointed stick? Oh, oh, oh. We want to learn how to defend ourselves against pointed sticks, do we? Getting all high and mighty, eh? Fresh fruit not good enough for you eh? Well I'll tell you something my lad. When you're walking home tonight and some great homicidal maniac comes after you with a bunch of loganberries, don't come crying to me! Now, the passion fruit. When your assailant lunges at you with a passion fruit...

About 10 ounces of muzzle energy. It fires a 2 grain projectile at 400 feet per second.

The bullet is about the size of a single piece of #7-1/2 shot.

I posted a thread on this gun earlier this summer, but I can no longer find it.

How does one shoot that thing? You'd need tweezers to pull the trigger.

I wouldn't shoot a mouse with that thing, it would just make it mad.

It looks like it would shoot one piece of the smallest birdshot. I can't imagine it would break the skin at more than 5 feet.

On top of that, it's $5000. What a non story.

It could blow your head clean off, if you’re a gnat.

First they banned guns because they were too big, now they're going to ban them because they're too small. What's "just right" according to the Goldilocks ATF?

“Contacts in the Middle East asked me to make a miniature of Colt Python,"

My bet is ultra-rich princes looking for an exclusive toy.
