A majority of Canadians believe U.S. foreign policy was one of the root causes that led to the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks, and Quebecers are quicker to criticize the U.S. administration for its international actions than other Canadians, a recent poll suggests.
Those conclusions are found in a newly released poll conducted by Léger Marketing for the Association for Canadian Studies.
The poll suggests that 77 per cent of Quebecers polled primarily blame American foreign policy for the Sept. 11 attacks. The results suggest 57 per cent in Ontario hold a similar view.
Canadian opinions have hardened against the United States and its role on the world stage, said Jack Jedwab, executive director of the Association for Canadian Studies. The wars in Afghanistan and Iraq have contributed to a change of heart among people, he said.

LOL!
Popcorn and BEER!
Don't forget the beer!
Peter Jennings was a Canadian...probably had an IQ of at least 85.
Think I'll get Molson Golden, haven't had it in a long time!!!
Damn, running late, carry on my FRiends!!!
No problem. I knew what you meant.
See you later.
:-)
What's a Canada?
Good for you!!
It's doubtful, however, that this is what their "opinion" is based on. Instead, they are probably referring to all the myriad provocations that the Bush adminstration managed to pull off between Jan. 20 and September 10, 2001. I guess they think Bin Laden must really hate tax cuts.
I've never backed off, and I never said "all". I said I, and many others despise Canadians. As per the thread, if you can read, there are many, many other who agree.
You Canuck Conservatives are doing better, but still, you don't seem to have our back. I just read about a Canadian ambulance driver, who had to "rescue" a wounded Afgan terrorist in the middle of a firefight, then LEFT THE BATTLE to bring him to a hospital, rather than stay to take care of Canadian troops. Not like our liberals wouldn't want it the same way, but then again most Canadians would consider John McCain to be a right wing extremist.

I've put out a query about this fellow Jack Jedwab to one of our Jewish members.
Waiting for a response
What I've been able to find on the net shows him as...
presently Executive Director of the Association for Canadian Studies.
From 1994-1998 he served as Executive Director of the Quebec Region of the Canadian Jewish Congress.
In a word, yes. POLLS - they should be outlawed. Their media presents a negative picture of the U.S. and it's policies that lead to our being attacked for weeks or months, and then they take a poll to see what the mood of the citizens are. What hogwash.
Most Canadian would think John McCain has something to do with French Fries.
Right in the middle of the 9/11/01 crisis, Peter Puke Jennings was on the air criticizing President Bush for remaining aloft in Air Force One instead of returning "immediately" to the White House. The ignorance and arrogance of Peter Jennings was astounding, but actually typical of the media rabble.
If they created a poll done in the US, there would still be 40-50% saying that the US is to blame...
Leger is a longtime Liberal hack. The other group seems to be very left-leaning as well.
Understand the CBC is a political organization not just a taxpayer funded media empire. Their politics are in tune with CBS and CNN and yes they are very anti American. But even more anti Canadian Conservative. They are part of the same forces that want to bow down to Islamic terrorists while crippling our military. This does not start or stop at the border...there are plenty of cowards on both sides of our border. BUT also plenty who are willing to lay down their lives to win this war against both Islamic terrorists and the left who is just as dangerous to our future.
