That was prolly around the time we were able as kids to go the Saturday movie matinee for nine cents. The exciting serial would have our butts stuck to the seats, and the gummy goo of spilt soda would have our feet stuck to the floor.

I remember when there was no such thing as self-serve, and one of the big oil companies had a policy that if the attendant did not clean your windshield and offer to check the oil, "your gasoline purchase is free."
That was a few years back too.
