I remember when gasoline was in the teens. And they gave you a knife or a dish, AND they washed the windscreen too.

I remember when there was no such thing as self-serve, and one of the big oil companies had a policy that if the attendant did not clean your windshield and offer to check the oil, "your gasoline purchase is free."

That was a few years back too.
