As the war on terror heads into its sixth year, a new racial stereotype is emerging in America. Brown-skinned men with beards and women with head scarves are seen as "Muslims" -- regardless of their actual faith or nationality.
Law enforcement measures, politicians, religious leaders and the media have contributed to stereotyping Muslims as a race -- echoing the painful history of another faith.

So..., am I to take from this that you believe the U.S. is providing aid to Israel to repay them for thousands of years of anti-semitism occuring thousands of years before the U.S. was in existance?
Oh, and the Christian religion did not come into being until after Christ was crucified on the cross. The Hebrews were targets of hate long before that time. Christians did carry out campaigns against "Jews" after the death of Christ, but Terrorism?
Exactly
Not all Muslim is a terrorist, but almost every terrorist is a Muslim.
What really irks me is that people tried to equate Arab with Islam, when they only make up to 20 to 23 percent of the Muslim world. In America, Arabs are predominately Christian, in fact 70 to 75 percent of Arabs are Christians.
You said it. Absolutely correct.
The Spanish Inquisition is all you can come up with RE Islam terrorists demanding journalists renounce their own religion or lack thereof and declare themselves Islamic converts -- or be killed? You speak of "simple logic." One simple and true rule is to judge a tree by its fruit. Whereever Islam dominates, the fruit has been consistently crappy. Nations built on Christian and Jewish foundations, on the other hand ... but I guess in Islam the Jewish/Christian rule that envy and jealousy are false guides and meant to be avoided, is absent.
Comparing Islamic terrorism to Judeo-Christian "terrorism" in historical context and saying they come out even is moral equivalence of incredibly false proportions and reveals either willful ingorance or delusion. It's a matter of simple logic.
"Some of us look at the world as it really is."

That's not entirely true. In some situations, "Muslim" are an ethnic or national category. What is the difference between Serbs, Croats and Bosniaks? They live in the same place, speak the same language, eat the same food (more or less) and practie different religions. And in China, the Hui are Han Chinese who are Muslims. In the United States, there is a distinction made between "regular" African Americans and the Nation of Islam.
If that's the case, why were some of the first victims of the Crusades European Jews?
As for Jewish ''guilt' show me the part where the Pope called for or endorsed their utter destruction as a response.
See above.
Christians did carry out campaigns against "Jews" after the death of Christ, but Terrorism?
Like Valin said, "define 'Christian' and 'terrorism'". Pogroms, for example, were terrorist acts.
Arab-Americans, you mean. Most nationals of Arab countries are Muslims. There is some tension between old (mostly Christian) and new (mostly Muslim) Arab immigrants.
Don't forget the "good Muslims can go bad and kill you at any time" crowd...
That's unlikely, but why do you think it's true?

"Crappy" is a subjective term.

There's been plenty of stinkers. CSA, for one.

Please show me where I said that.
Oftentimes, when people say this, they say it because they define any violent act committed by someone from a Muslim family to be an aaspect of some "global jihad" while they are more than willing to dismiss the thousands of murders committed in America by Christians as isolated events or merely criminal acts.
Regardless, it's hard to look at the IRA, ETA, LTTE, KKK, Shining Path, FARC, UNITA, etc and say that "almost every terrorist is a Muslim".
I'm sure that in the area that I live, all the major mosques will once again have those OBSCENE meetings to promulgate this Big Lie. Maybe this time there will be fewer dhimmi dupes and shills in these meetings, since the big terrorist-supporting mosque at the center of all these shenanigans has been publicly caught making antisemitic statements. But don't count on it. There are always plenty of "peace" advocates to plead the islamist cause, no matter what. And the same "peace" shills are the ones who bash non-dhimmi Christians and Jews for their "intolerance" towards extremist muslims.
muslims in America will get a lot more respect when they publicly admit the truth. September 11th is all about a dastardly attack on our homeland committed by islamist terrorists who are part of mainstream islam!!!! They need to do a lot of work on putting their own house in order before they can legitimately complain about how the rest of us treat them.
You're right, but what the MSM fails to inform people is that it's the Muslims who pushed them out, not the Jews/Israelis.
The problem is that none of the 9-11 attackers had these "telltale factors". They were not bearded, skullcap wearing, robed folks. None of them dressed as conservative Muslims. They were dressed like regular Americans living regular lives.
You're right. If you went to the SF Chronicle site, you probably noticed that this is Part 1 of a 5 part series the Chron is planning, leading up to the 5th anniversary of 9-11.
None of them ever tried to take out American airliners or tried to target Americans in their own land. Most of them never targeted Americans anywhere else either. To equate any of these groups as an equal threat to the Islamofascist threat is disingenuous.
