Snip: Farouq caused huge embarrassment to the United States when he escaped from a U.S. military prison in Afghanistan last year. With three others, he broke out of the prison at Bagram military airbase in Kabul, later appearing in a video on Arab television boasting about the escape.

Guards walk off job at 4 BC border crossings
Snip: Canadian border guards at four crossings in the Lower Mainland of B.C. have walked off the job in response to a security scare.
CTV Vancouver reported Sunday night that lineups at four crossings into Canada are massive. Gary Barndt reported from the station's helicopter that the lineups appeared to be several kilometres long at one crossing.
