In the five years since terrorists flew hijacked airliners into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, Americans have accepted inconvenience, sacrificed personal liberties and paid billions of dollars for a security clampdown that touches virtually every aspect of their lives.

And we're still not safe.

A close examination of the federal government's homeland security effort shows that there have been major accomplishments since the attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. But it also reveals how vulnerable the nation remains to catastrophe.

That program exposed the secrets of the Mujahideen- Allah forbidden exposing secrets of the Muslims - by talking about the ways used by the Mujahideen to reach Iraq. This really was very bad because it helped the enemies by providing them secret information about the Mujahideen. All of these reminds us of the suspicious meetings of that person "Yosri Foda" with the executors of 11/9 events and that they were arrested after that.

Curious what that "secret information" was. Pretty sick to see them bragging about their accomplishments in terms of "assassinations, bombarding and destroying, but that's what they'll do until they're erased from the planet."

Pakistani gets 18 years in San Diego in drugs-for-missiles plot

A Pakistani man was sentenced Monday to more than 18 years in prison for conspiring with an Indian-born U.S. citizen to obtain and sell Stinger anti-aircraft missiles to the Taliban and al-Qaida.

Syed Mustajab Shah, 55, pleaded guilty last March in federal court to one count of conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists and one count of conspiracy to distribute heroin and hashish.

Shah admitted that he tried to sell five tons of hashish and a half-ton of heroin in exchange for cash and four shoulder-fired Stinger missiles, which he and the other defendants intended to sell to members of the Taliban. Such missiles could be used to shoot down airplanes, including commercial jets, flying at low altitudes.

Shah knew at the time that the Taliban was the same as al-Qaida, prosecutors said.

Two other men pleaded guilty to the same charges in March 2004. Ilyas Ali of St. Paul, Minn., a naturalized U.S. citizen born in India, was sentenced in April to more than five years in prison for his role in the plot. Muhamed Abid Afridi, 32, also was sentenced to nearly five years in prison.

Shah, Ali and Afridi were arrested on Sept. 20, 2002, by police in Hong Kong who received a tip from the FBI. The three were secretly videotaped in meetings days earlier with undercover FBI agents at a Hong Kong hotel. Ali also met in April 2002 with an undercover agent in San Diego.

Andrew Nietor, an attorney for Shah, did not respond to a phone message left seeking comment.

Snip: Farouq caused huge embarrassment to the United States when he escaped from a U.S. military prison in Afghanistan last year. With three others, he broke out of the prison at Bagram military airbase in Kabul, later appearing in a video on Arab television boasting about the escape.

Guards walk off job at 4 BC border crossings

Snip: Canadian border guards at four crossings in the Lower Mainland of B.C. have walked off the job in response to a security scare.

CTV Vancouver reported Sunday night that lineups at four crossings into Canada are massive. Gary Barndt reported from the station's helicopter that the lineups appeared to be several kilometres long at one crossing.

Ohio car dealer dropping "jihad" commercial

Snip: A car dealership in Ohio has decided not to run a commercial proclaiming a "jihad" on the U.S. auto market, a Muslim activist group said on Monday.

The Ohio Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations released a letter from the dealership offering an apology and saying the radio ad, which had never been aired, was a misguided attempt at humor.

Colgate to put halal tags on toothpaste in Malaysia

Snip: Toothpaste producer Colgate will soon attach "halal" tags to all its products sold in Malaysia, the company said Monday.

Colgate Palmolive, operating in Malaysia for 50 years, has always respected the religious beliefs and practices of all its consumers, the company said in a statement released here. It said, all the Colgate toothpaste products are halal and are free from any substance from animals.

British police to advise Muslim panel before conducting raids

Snip: The Times of London reports today that police in Britain have agreed to brief a panel of Muslim leaders before conducting terror raids.

Members of the panel will offer their assessment of the quality of information police have on a Muslim suspect and the panel will consider the consequences of the proposed raid on community relations as a whole.

Muslim Council of Britain issues omminous terror threat

Snip: The head of the Muslim Council of Britain - Adul Bari - is making the threat that 2 million terrorists in the UK could attack it in the wake of the arrest of 24 British Muslims implicated in a plot involving a conspiracy to blow up 10 airliners enroute to the United States.

Mounting a public relations offensive, Bari is portraying Muslims as the victims of discrimination and blaming the police for causing terrorism.

Feeling emboldened by the UK's inability and unwillingness to crack down on radical Islamic activity, Britain's largest Muslim organization, is beginning to sound like Al Muhajiroun, the group which praised the 9/11 hijackers as "the magnificent 19" and whose leader Omar Bakri Mohammed, fled to Lebanon last year in aftermath of the London bombings which involved adherents of his group.

Britain's Telegraph Uk documented Bari's threat on September 9.

"Some police officers and sections of the media are demonising Muslims, treating them as if they are all terrorists, and that encourages other people to do the same. If that demonisation continues, then Britain will have to deal with two million Muslim terrorists, 700,000 of them in London. "If you attack a whole community, it becomes despondent and aggressive," he added.

Abdul Bari's overt threat, as head of one of the leading UK Muslim organizations is not the first time that his group has threatened violence. After the arrest of two Muslim brothers suspected of a chemical terror plot , he told the media that Muslims were very angry and could become violent, warning:

"Trust could break down if things are not clarified, said Abdul Bari the secretary general of Britain's largest Muslim organization. "Angry people can do anything ,angry people can even feel they should take the law into their own hands…"

Now a parents group says it's time for Breiner to resign.

"We are outraged at Mr. Breiner's most recent antics. He has apparently moved from promoting a gay agenda to embarrassing our community internationally," said Vicki Fyke, a spokesperson for the Livingston Organization for Values in Education committee.

"We have endured two years of controversy with Mr. Breiner as the common denominator to each incident and feel the community would be better served if Mr. Breiner would simply resign," she said yesterday.

Fyke also noted that Breiner had ruled that the Scouting programs that meet in district buildings would not be allowed to send information home with students at the beginning of a school year, as they have in the past and as other groups were allowed to do.

The parents' group also noted that in the past Breiner had formally recognized the hanging of a "gay pride" flag in the school, but banned the national motto, "In God We Trust," from school walls."

17.09.2006 at 0330 LT at Chittagong anchorage 'c', Bangladesh.
Eight armed robbers approached a container ship. Alert crew mustered and sounded the whistle. Upon seeing crew alertness robbers aborted attempted boarding.


16.09.2006 at 2030 LT at Pelintung wharf, Dumai, Indonesia.
Two robbers armed with large knives boarded a chemical tanker at berth. They assaulted master and stole large amount of cash and escaped. Master sustained serious injuries and needed hospital treatment.


16.09.2006 at 0200 LT in posn: 22:16.94N - 091:43.08E, Chittagong
Anchorage 'a', Bangladesh. Four robbers in a small motorboat approached a bulk carrier at stern during cargo operations. Three robbers jumped off the boat and clung themselves down the rudder/propeller while the boat moved away. Alert crew mustered and master turned the propeller. Robbers jumped off from the rudder post and were picked by their boat. Master called port control but received no response.

Two robbers armed with knives in a boat boarded a tug at stern while at anchor. They attempted to steal the ship's rescue boat outboard engine but were repelled by ship's crew. Robbers managed to cut the battery power cable but escaped empty handed. Port authority informed.
