I believe I have located Adnan Shukrijumah, who the FBI calls "the next Mohammed Atta", who is the leader of bin Laden's "American Hiroshima" attacks, in Canada. I met with Canadian intelligence for five hours. They were very helpful. However FBI has not been helpful on the national level (although, my local Birmingham, Al FBI office was helpful). We have much more info that is not on the internet. We have also discovered what we believe could be the nerve center for bin Laden's "American Hiroshima" attacks.

ARTICLE 25 September 2006 The trial of the man accused of murdering 29 people in the 1998 Omagh bomb massacre finally got under way today.

Belfast Crown Court was told that DNA and fibre evidence could connect 37-year-old Sean Hoey to the no-warning Real IRA explosion and a number of other dissident republican attacks.

Hoey, from Molly Rd, Jonesborough, who denies a total of 58 terrorist offences, sat in the dock in Court 12, guarded by two court officials, as the Diplock trial started.

A number of relatives of Omagh bomb victims were in the public gallery of the court while others attended a live video link set up in Omagh College."

"Noonan wants witness protection scheme given on statutory basis"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "A CALL to introduce a witness protection scheme on a statutory basis, has been made by Deputy Michael Noonan.

The chairman of the Dail Public Accounts Committee said that the gardai in Limerick have been very successful in solving murders and gaining convictions.

However, he claims that their work is made difficult "by the intimidation of witnesses, especially when those witnesses are gang colleagues of those accused”.

"Since the Veronica Guerin murder the gardai have relied on the witness protection programme/scheme to encourage gang members to give evidence against former gang colleagues. This very important weapon is the armoury of the gardai and it is no longer as effective as it was, and unfortunately the scheme is being used less and less’, he said.

The former leader of Fine Gael said that the funds allocated by the Minister for Justice bear this out.

While 1,183,484 euro was allocated to the scheme in 2003, this dropped by 60,000 euro in 2004. and last year it was down to 540,547 euro, he explained.

"It’s amazing that faced with so many unsolved gangland murders in Dublin, the Minister for Justice, Michael McDowell, does not take action. He must introduce legislation to underpin the scheme."

(AKI) - At least three foreigners with Bosnian citizenship are on the revised United Nations list of individuals who are aiding or who belong to the al-Qaeda terrorist network, a senior Bosnian official said on Monday. Dragan Lukac, assistant director of the Bosnian state security agency, said in an interview with the daily Nezavisne Novine that three Tunisians, who are on the UN terrorist list, were granted Bosnian citizenship after the country's 1992-1995 civil war.

"It's difficult to say where they are at the moment, but we can say with great certainty that they are not in Bosnia and don't use Bosnian passports," Lukac said.

He named the three Tunisians as Mahrez ben Mahmud ben Sashi al Amandani, Shafik ben Mohamed al Ajadi and Halil ben Ahmed ben Mohamed Jaraja. He said they were issued Bosnian passports in the last decade and their last reported addresses were in Sarajevo, but have in the meantime disappeared without a trace.

Thousands of mujahadeen from Islamic countries fought on the side of local Muslims in the Bosnian war, but many remained in the country afterwards and took Bosnian citizenship. A special state commission is currently scrutinizing some 1,500 citizenships granted to foreigners, and 50 citizenships have been revoked so far.

Lukac said the ongoing "process of revising all citizenships granted in the period between April 6, 1992 and January 2006, will give precise answers on how many people linked to terrorist organisations have Bosnian citizenship".

He said it was normal that someone "comes to Bosnia in 1994, gets the citizenship and then leaves the country without anyone knowing where he is, or what he does". The paper also quoted Bosnian police director, Zlatko Miletic, as saying that the authorities were not prepared to speak about terrorism openly.

Citing several cases in Bosnia of attempted terrorist activities, Miletic said that there have been "such attempts". Last October the police arrested three local youths, with links abroad, plotting to bomb the embassy of a European country in Sarajevo."

Though I have read Paul Williams' books, I have slowly lost confidence in him as an accurate source. Perhaps it is the fact that he has tied himself to NEIN recently.

The news release struck me as a bit odd, and not that believable.

Terrorism existed before Iraq war, says PM -
LEIGH SALES: Figures compiled by the US Government's own agencies back the claim that terrorism is on the increase.

In 2003, the State Department put the number of terrorist attacks worldwide at 208. In 2004, that figure roughly tripled to 650.

After controversy about how the numbers were pulled together, in 2005, the newly created National Centre for Counter Terrorism took over responsibility for gathering the data.

It expanded the criteria for what constituted a terrorist attack and said the adjusted 2004 figure was 3,192 attacks. Then, in 2005, using the same criteria, the figure almost quadrupled to 11,111.

In addition, a report this year by the Council on Global Terrorism - an independent body made up of respected experts - concluded "there is every sign that radicalisation in the Muslim world is spreading, not shrinking".
