Iran successfully test-fired a submarine-launched long-range missile in the Persian Gulf, Iranian state television reported on Sunday.
The test was part of a continuing series of military exercises the Islamic Republic began earlier this month.

Now I am getting an idea of what it must have felt like in the time immediately preceeding WW II.
Wouldn't be surprised to see the casino's start to carry the bet.
Good time to check what is in your house, how well it can be stashed, and what BLOAT means...Meantime,on the U.S. subs lets be dialing Iranian and Syrian addresses for elimination!

FOX reports this is a RUSSIAN origin missile - way too much technology for Iran to have developed on their own
Can't be. Putin's FR Legion has assured us it can't be. /sarc

"I've got a buck that says this Iranian sub was in the sights of a US sub before, during, and after this launch and the Iranian skipper never knew it."
Very likely, but with the Russian rocket-torpedo they've acquired they could fire a spread of two or three and have it reach the US sub before our torpedo reaches them even if we fire first. 200 knot speed makes one hell of a difference. Also allows no time for the US sub to maneuver out of the way.

You overestimate Russia, downplay Ukrainian duplicity and underestimate Iran.

What part of "Russia isn't significant enough to screw us" do you not understand? Or do you continue to have such a low opinion of the US, its leadership, and institutions of power (security services, intel, military) that any b.s. by the Russians or any other country sends you into a frantic sweat-drenched panic? I'd like to see you have faith in the country you claim you were born in, but I guess that's too much to ask of a UNA/UNSO Ukrainian Nationalist-Socialist.

They know that we won't. I recall a line from a Monty Python movie: "It's time for immediate discussion!"

That is a fascinating choice of words. And I find it hard to believe it comes from an American.

Global power, global reach - and the institutions of power that project it. Perhaps if you had served in the US military instead of choosing to pay homage to the Soviet Union as a hard currency tourist you would recognize these concepts.

Once a US sub hears an enemy sub come to missile launching depth, it's all over for that sub.
They'd never get the shot off.
