Oh no! Independent sanctions!
The Ayatollahs are shaking in their turbans.
Independent airstrikes, well, that's a different story.

"The US believes that Japan and the European trio - Germany, France, and Britain will provide the base for international rallying outside the Security Council in the case that Russia and China block the sanctions."
France? Maybe the US also believes in Santa Claus... Ignore the French, they have not missed an opportunity to stab Bush in the back, so why are they even bothering with these a*holes.

Economic sanctions mean nothing. They never have and the never will. To think that such sacntions can accomplish anything is to put your head in the sand. In a world where everyone is cutting a secret deal, only force on a large scale will bring the desired results.

Huge recovery in Iran's exports to EU
"
The increase in Iranian exports was dominated by the rise in EU oil imports to eur 1.5 bn. It was led by Italy, Iran's biggest market, whose imports grew by eur 130 m to eur 500 m."

Sanctions will be worthless. If China and Russia trade with Iran and idiots with money like Chavez support Iran, we will have no impact and Iran will have the bomb, as will every two-bit terrorist within 1000 miles of Teheran.
The only way to stop this fanatic is to use force.
To: M. Espinola
We've had sanctions on Iran for almost 30 years. Obviously, they don't work.
