Question for Astrologers: How will Pluto's disenfranchisement affect your "industry"? (Vanity)

Will it mean anything when Pluto is "in retrograde" anymore?

Will this cause do-over's on a massive scale of the last few years of Shirley MacLaine's readings? Have you retained attorney's in case this gets real ugly?

Also, should I bet on the Bucs going above .500 given they have the 2nd toughest schedule in the league as far as last year's winning percentage of opponents they are slated to play this year?

I don't think they use pluto, it's only 16th magnitude and you need a huge telescope to see it. Astrology was invented back when only naked eye stars/planets could be used.

But the humor of your question is still good.

Astrology very much uses Pluto.

because Pluto is ingrained in the consuming public's mind as a planet, they will probably keep it regardless of any demotion Pluto might suffer. (After all, our own moon, which is far more plausibly influential than any of the outer planets, is part of the listing, even though it is not a planet.)

"Astrology was invented back when only naked eye stars/planets could be used."

So, there has not been a "schism" of sorts in the Asrologer community to modernize it over the years when Pluto was generally accepted? Interesting.

Pluto is what the astrologers call a "generational planet". It moves so slowly through the sky that its influence or effect doesn't change very much from day to day, or even year to year. So I don't think this'll affect anybody's calculations that much.

. . . hey, I had a misspent hippie youth reading Tarot cards and casting horoscopes, what can I say?

Have they decided to add the other three new planets? So we have a net 11?

Thanks. But you understand that this does NOTHING to help me with my question about the Bucs, right? (sarc)

My understanding is that if Pluto did not qulaify, then the other 3 would not qualify.

They don't even use Uranus and Neptune that I've seen - just the planets visible to the ancients.

You all will have to just to hash this out. I could have swore that my mom's Cosmopolitan magazine's astrology section growing up always mentioned Pluto....I know for a fact that they talked a lot about Uranus.

Just the latest in a seires of slights against Pluto. How come Goofy wears pants, but Pluto walks around commando?

If what I just wrote made you sad or angry,
it was probably just a joke.

Cuz Goofy was never neutered and Pluto, while supposedly male---can't "prove" it.
