NEW YORK - Pornographic movies now seem nearly as pervasive in America's hotel rooms as tiny shampoo bottles, and the lodging industry shows little concern as conservative activists rev up a protest campaign aimed at triggering a federal crackdown.
A coalition of 13 conservative groups including the Family Research Council and Concerned Women for America took out full-page ads in some editions of USA Today earlier this month urging the Justice Department and FBI to investigate whether some of the pay-per-view movies widely available in hotels violate federal and state obscenity laws.
The coalition also is trying to draw attention to CleanHotels.com, a directory of hotels and motels nationwide that pledge to exclude adult offerings from their in-room entertainment service.

In the first place, Hotel movies are soft porn - you can see the same thing on Cinemax at night. That is not true anymore. Check out the listings on the in-room movie service. This is not just soft-core T&A stuff anymore. Full XXX rated movies with every graphic penetration and view you can imagine are now the norm on the hotel in-room services. It wouldn't surprise me for movies showing actual bestiality to be available soon (and I'm sure some people would probably pay to see them).

Gah! The hotels with hot-tubs!
In high school, I worked as a chambermaid at Caesar's Pocono Place --the CHampagne Towers. Those tubs probably served as the festering ground for thousands of vile germs and diseases. The messes we cleaned up should have required full, level-4 haz-mat gear.

Personally, I would rather not have it available in motel rooms . . . You do realize that--according to the majority posting on this thread--you have just placed yourself in the company of the Taliban!
Nope. It's only at the point where she would attempt to make it impossible for anyone else to access it does the comparison apply...
To: Malacoda
Not to hijack the thread, but what's going on in the Poconos these days?

You get the award for most predicable (and, though the competition is keen) stupidest post. Why not just say, "Hey, man, I really get off on porn!" instead of cloaking your fantasy life in the raincoat of constitutionality. There are no Constitutional issues, there are only social and moral issues. The Constitution is an irrelevant piece of paper that perverts hide behind.

Once in a well respected hotel chain I turned on to surf for news and was visually assaulted by 2 lesbians making out.
When I complained to the front desk I was told if the previous guest
had purchased porn, it was an all day ticket.
Pity the parents who let their children turn on the tv only to find that
garbage making an indelible impression on their minds for life.

Same as, "If you don't like abortion, don't have one." Hmmm.
You're right. Porn is exactly the same as abortion. Sheesh.

I haven't met a Registered Sex offender yet that didn't have big time trouble being addicted to pornography.
How many registered sex offenders have you met?

My old boss was quite staid, and did a bit of traveling....he'd come back to the office and sometimes comment about "Whew - those 'channel 3' movies".

Thanks for the information. Now where did you find your information on the content of these movies? Watching for research purposes?

Hey! Easy there! That "irrelevant piece of paper" is the cornerstone of this country!

I really hope this is sarcasm. Sadly, I don't think it is.

"You do realize that--according to the majority posting on this thread--you have just placed yourself in the company of the Taliban!"
Well, if someone thinks that, then they obvious haven't read much of what I write.
The sad part of what you write is the dumbing down of what words mean. I see conservatives and liberals throw this "Taliban" word around. Nobody that I know, Democrat/Republican/Christian etc., is proposing a "Taliban" response. If the Taliban didn't like what you did, they could have you imprisoned or killed, without a trial. Taliban is a Islamic dictatorship. Proposing changes to laws or objecting to such proposals are essential to a democratic republic.
Throwing "Taliban" or "Nazi" around carelessly, doesn't advance anyones cause. In fact, I think that it ultimately hurts everyone.
Sincerely

What's sad is that this forum has been brought to the point where you're not sure. I remember when there wouldn't have been any doubt. Just to be clear, yes it was.
