Very true. France's problem is a lack of leadership and resolve at the top. French soldiers are actually very good when led by able commanders (typically British and American) and not undermined by the politicians.

I give these guys credit. France is such a sad joke and deservedly so, but these men nevertheless have the will to wear a uniform and carry the flag for the people of France.
Can you imagine how these fighting men felt after Jacques announced that he would only send 200 French military to Lebanon, after all his moaning and wailing? I would have died with the shame of it, so I salute this small band and wish them well.
