As Rome passed away, so, the West is passing away, from the same causes and in much the same way. What the Danube and Rhine were to Rome, the Rio Grande and Mediterranean are to America and Europe, the frontiers of a civilization no longer defended.
So begins a new work of warning from Pat Buchanan.
And this time Buchanan goes all the way.
STATE OF EMERGENCY: THIRD WORLD INVASION AND CONQUEST OF AMERICA hit the streets this week and it's designed to jolt readers with stats and analysis of illegal immigration gone dangerously wild.
Buchanan warns: The children born in 2006 will witness in their lifetimes the death of the West."
One in every twelve people breaking into America has a criminal record.
By 2050, there will be 100 million Hispanics concentrated in the U.S. Southwest.
Between 10 and 20 percent of all Mexicans, Central Americans and Caribbean people have already moved to the United States.
Every month, the U.S. Border Patrol apprehends more illegal aliens breaking into our country, 150,000, than the number of troops we have in Iraq.
[The book was ranked #571 on AMAZON's sales chart Sunday evening.]
Buchanan slams the president: Concerned about his legacy, George W. Bush may yet live to see his name entered into the history of his country as the president who lost the American Southwest that James K. Polk won for the United States."
In EMERGENCY, Pat Buchanan charges the Mexican regime with an Aztlan Plot, a conscious campaign to use America as a dumping ground for its poor and unemployed, both to relieve social pressure and effect a cultural re-annexation of the American Southwest. La Reconquista, the reconquest of the lands lost by Mexico in the Mexican-American War, Buchanan charges, is underway.
The Republican Party, a wholly owned subsidiary of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, is in the grip of a cult called Economism. It is all about money now. The GOP worships at the Church of GDP
Both parties are paralyzed by guilt over American past racial sins.
Powerful Mexican and U.S. elites seek to erase Americas borders and merge the United States and Mexico into a North American Union.
In his controversial final chapter, Last Chance, Buchanan lays out a national plan to deal with the State of Emergency, before it makes an end of America:
An Eisenhower-type deportation program, beginning with all illegal aliens convicted of felonies and every gang member not a U.S. citizen.
A ten-year moratorium on all legal immigration, at the level JFK favored in 1958 -- 150,000 to 250,000 a year.
A $10-billion, 2000-mile double-line security fence between the United States and Mexico, built with no apologies to Mexico City.
Developing...

Well, two things, many Middle Easterners can pass for Mexicans plus Islam is growing in Latin America. Actually evangelical Protestanism is growing at much faster pace, and second the guy crossing the border praying towards mecca 5 times a day would stick out like a sore thumb.

These people are unwilling to assimilate themselves in the culture of the United States but they take our services. MECHA is a "fifth columnist" groups that support the concept of Aztlan and unrestricted illegal immigration. Pat is extreme on many issues but he is very correct about this issue.
I think that was all true the first fifteen times it was written on this thread.
WTF is so hard for some of you to understand?Nobody here is disagreeing that the threat posed by illegal immigration is serious. Nobody on this thread.
NOBODY.
So, stop arguing with phantoms. The point is simple, and it is this:
Pat Buchanon is an ass.
Get it?

And that has exactly WHAT to do with what I was talking about?
I'm talking about Al Qaeda possibly sneaking someone into the US through our borders....
I guess reading comprehension isn't a big thing for Buchananites is it? No it can't be, you're Buchananites for Pete's sake....

The majority of Mexican Americans are not enamored with the illegals who flow through the border as if it were Swiss Cheese.

Thanks. I suspected as much, although I don't like to put words in people"s mouth. We are still hung up on race. Its not color its culture that is important. Values are important. All Mexicans don't have the same values just as all Europeans don't. we must look past the stereotypes. that's one of the things I dislike most about the democrats. People are just categories to them. They believe that since the majority of illegals are Mexican then all "Hispanics" favor amnesty. That's absurd. American culture and sovereignty is at stake here at a time when we need a strong national will and character to defend against the muslim onslaught that is only just beginning.

In EMERGENCY, Pat Buchanan charges the Mexican regime with an Aztlan Plot, a conscious campaign to use America as a dumping ground for its poor and unemployed, both to relieve social pressure and effect a cultural re-annexation of the American Southwest. Buchanan is right that Mexico is using America to ship off their poor to relieve social pressure. It may be the only thing that keeps Mexico from open revolution. But I just don't see Reconquista as some sort of conspiracy on the part of the Mexican authorities. Most political leaders in Mexico are interested in political survival and the continuation of corruption, not in some grand new Mexican state.

When Pat's relatives were coming to America, they were viewed as monkey-like, subhumans, who were not only Papists ( ergo, couldn't be "good" Americans, because they owed allegiance to Rome
FIRST), but had the IQ's of a box of rocks.
And yes, many of the early Irish were criminals, in murderous gangs, on the dole, and people talked of them in the same way Pat now does of others.
To: VU4G10
Pat's right on this issue. Th balkanization of the US of A has begun.
