GAZA (Reuters) - Palestinian gunmen kidnapped two foreign journalists working for the Fox News television channel in Gaza on Monday, a witness said.
The witness, a Palestinian who worked with the two journalists, said one of them, a producer, was an American, and the other, whose nationality he did not know, was a cameraman.
The Fox News bureau in Jerusalem said it was checking the report.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the abduction.
The witness said two vehicles blocked the journalist's transmission truck in the center of Gaza City and a masked man put a gun to the bodyguard's head, forcing him to the ground.
The kidnappers then sped away with the two journalists.
Similar incidents in the past in Gaza have ended with the release, usually within hours, of kidnapped foreign journalists or aid workers.
Many of the abductions were carried out by Palestinians pressing a grievance against the Palestinian government or its security forces
Years later, after the war, the Polish bishops sent an official letter to the Holy See claiming that Fr Kolbe's magazine had prepared the Polish nation to endure and survive the horrors of the war that was soon to follow.

the link to this comprehensive article is in my previous post. He was a brilliant, motivated and energetic man.
The nazis killed him by injection because he would not die of the starvation to which he was being subjected.
They burned his body and scattered his ashes because they feared the kind of influence he had had at Auchwitz.
They may have been asked not to, yet.
THANKS!!!
re your post #336: A very wise observation - so very true about all of us at one time or another. Thank you.
An American and an Irishman have been abducted by godless bastards known to behead people with whom they do not agree. It doesn't matter whether you are jokingly wishing for his abduction because of his appearance or because of his performance - it is inappropriate and you ought to be ashamed of yourself.

Which amounts to what, exactly?
Not to be a downer, but what're we gonna do, flame them on the 'net?
We've got a healthy bloc of well-armed citizens among our ranks, but they're not going to be boots-on-the-ground in theater -- ever. And, apart from going the totally black ops mercenary route and taking these terrorist scum down with individually prescribed lead pills, what other recourse have we got? None.
Look, I agree with the sentiment that we need to be involved and DO more than just tap away at our keybords, but, at times like this, we've got to admit that there are areas, like this, in which we are almost completely impotent to act.
Frustrating? Hell, yes!
I'd much rather be studying the effects of sustained fully-automatic weapon fire on terrorists, myself, but it just ain't gonna happen. This one's up to The Big Man and local help on the ground over there, and we've got to just be okay with that.
I know what you mean, it just hits close to home. Fox News is on in my house almost 24 hours a day and it feels personal.
Shep is a biotchy little ghoul who should retire to karaoke stages in Key West.
I'd trade Hamas 2 or 3 Sheps for Steve Centanni.
I beg to differ.
Shame on you. You may not like him. Wishing him in the hands of Muslim terrorists is hideously evil.
bttt
It's going to surpass even "Wear Our the Cats?"
Absolutely. We have them on so much that they're kind of like part of the family.
Same here. FOX is always on, even when listening to the radio. TV has always been an extended family to me.
And I LIKE Geraldo and Shep!! But I can understand why some don't. I'd never wish harm on them. Michael Abu Musab Moore is another story.
Prayers that Rupert will pull a Ross Perot and go in and rescue them.
ummm... YES!
I have to hand it to you for being able to venture over there. They can't all be so vile and moronic, but just the same I can't take it.
