Its not a bad resolution but the Hezbullies will never agree to it for more than a month and they WILL NOT disarm!

Noone expects Hezbollah to disarm voluntarily - but this resolution could get them disarmed by the Lebanese government and the 15,000 Unifil troops. And it will get troops on the border with Syria, which is essential to prevent Hezbollah from being resupplied.

I had to stop watching.
Why is it when a terrorist group Hezbollah invades another country, it is given priority for rebuilding by the United States and Israel is given an afterthought?
Why is it automatically assumed the United States will lead in financing the reconstruction of Lebanon - although there are many wealthy arab nations who have plenty of funds at their disposal to assist.
Why do we continue to bend over and accept all these terrorist acts and then give the country money for allowing them to occur?
When are we going to say no more???

I opened the bible to this page:
EPHESIANS 2 15
by abolishing in his flesh the law with it's commandments and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new man out of two, thus making peace.
Spooky ...

I believe it's not a bad resolution for Israel - given it's a gift from the UN to them which they didn't earn.
The best part of it is what it doesn't say - no mention of prisoners. Nasrallah started this war for one prisoner. Nasrallah loses face.
Of course we have to see if the Lebanese and Hezb. accept.

i guess i don't think anything good comes of a unanimous Security Council vote. if they vote with us, then we weren't tough enough.

Dr. Rice said the resolution does call for the release of the kidnapped Israeli soldiers. I saw something in the preamble, but maybe the operative paragraphs were amended after the drafts we saw.

I really hate the UN. They are much like a toothless dog threatening to bite when it comes to real peace. When it comes to terrorism they are more like a rabid dog.
