I ask my fellow freepers indulgence for this vanity, because I believe it is too important to be buried in the back of the forum.
Can a good Muslim be a good American? I sent that question to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years.
The following is his reply:
Theologically - no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon god of Arabia.
Religiously - no. Because no other religion is accepted by his Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256)
Scripturally - no. Because his allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam and the Quran (Koran).
Geographically - no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day.
Socially - no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.
Politically - no. Because he must submit to the mullah (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and Destruction of America, the great Satan.
Domestically - no. Because he is instructed to marry four women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34).
Intellectually - no. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.
Philosophically - no. Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.
Spiritually - no. Because when we declare "one nation under God," the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran's 99 excellent names.
Therefore after much study and deliberation...perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both "good" Muslims and good Americans. Call it what you wish...it's still the truth. The more who understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future. The war is bigger than most Americans know or understand.
I don't want to believe it, but there is a possibility we are not made of the same stuff as the WWII generation.
They were willing to sacrifice. They were willing to do without, buckle under, and face incredible odds.
They didn't care if someone said something mean to them, or called them a racist because they didn't like Japanese or Germans.
They were willing to take harsh measures against largely-innocent people JUST IN CASE they might commit domestic acts of terror (e.g., Japanese internment).
These were a sterner, more durable, more willing people -- and because of it, they won.
I do not suspect that in this World War, America will win.
Now, let me get back to work for my Japanese imperial overlords.
You work at Toyota?
You know, a palindrome.
Oh, like: Go Hang a Salami, I'm a Lasagna Hog
No, more like: Bolton.
Death to dead parrots!
Just defend the Constitution, the rest will take care of it's self. Attacks are always a possibility, even in police states. It's like protecting your home, you do everything you can to guard it but in the end if someone wants in bad enough you likely will not be able to stop them. You can round up every potential troublemaker in the neighborhood but theirs still no guarantee. I guess you could barricade yourself and your family inside 24/7 but I wouldn't advise it.
Agent Smith - this is so true. A very nice Muslim man called Medved's show a couple of weeks back and he, very sincerely, told Michael Medved that if the Imams told him he had to kill Americans in order to be right in the sight of Allah that he doesn't know what he would do. He explained that on the one hand, he loves it here, etc. but he is a religious Muslim. At least the guy was honest. This is what is so scary about these people. They really don't get it.
Religion? That is the problem with this entire thread. Nobody has the stones to challenge the lie that Is-slime deserves to be called and protected as a religion. Is there anyone in politics with the stones to support my litmus test for a religion (below)? As long as we keep repeating the lie that any hate group bent on killing or enslaving nonbelievers can be called a religion we will waste our time typing messages back and forth while the cesspool of defective human DNA called Is-slime plots to kill us.
To the mudslime apologists on this thread, I would only believe your lies when I see proof that the nonexistent moderate mudslimes are making a full court press to have 100% of the "kill the infidel" passages removed from that terrorist manual for retards (koran).
I challenge anyone (other than mudslimes and their apologist's) to object to the following 3 simple tests of a belief system.
SIMPLE TEST FOR A VALID RELIGION
We need to define what can be classified and protected as a valid religion. I suggest a few simple litmus tests that any group seeking 1st amendment protection must pass. If your belief fails any of the litmus tests below you belong to a hate group and must be expelled from the country.
#1: If your belief commands you to kill or enslave those who are not of your religion then you fail the litmus test. .
#2: If your belief commands you to kill anyone who leaves your organization then you fail the litmus test.
#3: If your belief demands you kill or enslave anyone who writes, draws, speaks negatively about your belief you fail the litmus test.
Oh sure, that was the ticket alright!
You seriously think that the interment of Japanese Americans helped win the war against Japan?
I guess we must have lost that war against Germany, since we didn't round them all up.
Yes.
I guess we must have lost that war against Germany, since we didn't round them all up.
No, all we did there was to investigate them and jail their most prominent American leaders.
So, in other words we didn't need to inter the Japanese Americans. We could have just investigated them and taken their "leaders"?
And it's simply silly to argue that the internment helped win the war. Makes you look bad.
THIS IS A VERY GOOD OUTLINE THAT AMERICANS SHOULD HAVE MEMORIZED -- AND THAT JUST AS A BEGINNING POINT FOR STUDY!
I wish we could stop arguing over silly unworkable solutions and debate realistic policies. Reality is underrated; you should step back into it.
What can I say, war is hell but not for everyone. The imprisoned Japanese, made the best of it, and even Ronaldous Magnous was wrong occasionally.
I'm glad to hear that you think you know better than President Reagan. At least we know where you stand.
Be careful, my friend. If you're so eager to give your freedoms to the government, make sure you have a plan for taking them back.
There is nothing to win, so America will not win. But there is always plenty to lose, and America will not lose. Maybe just a few freedoms we take for granted, but we will keep our cell phones.
My point is that we do not have the stones to prevail over Islam. We will not win. It is demonstrated every day on this forum -- the most hawkish among us are constrained by PC sensibilities and tender mercies directed towards those who would saw our heads off.
You'd do that to American citizens? Try to convert children away from their parents' faith?
That's reprehensible. I trust, then, that you don't object to people trying to convert your children away from yours.
