I ask my fellow freepers indulgence for this vanity, because I believe it is too important to be buried in the back of the forum.
Can a good Muslim be a good American? I sent that question to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years.
The following is his reply:
Theologically - no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon god of Arabia.
Religiously - no. Because no other religion is accepted by his Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256)
Scripturally - no. Because his allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam and the Quran (Koran).
Geographically - no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day.
Socially - no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.
Politically - no. Because he must submit to the mullah (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and Destruction of America, the great Satan.
Domestically - no. Because he is instructed to marry four women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34).
Intellectually - no. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.
Philosophically - no. Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.
Spiritually - no. Because when we declare "one nation under God," the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran's 99 excellent names.
Therefore after much study and deliberation...perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both "good" Muslims and good Americans. Call it what you wish...it's still the truth. The more who understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future. The war is bigger than most Americans know or understand.
Excuse me young man, your name calling does not address any of the issues I posted. I spoke of the atmosphere where truth can be discussed and debated. Name calling hinders that and that's just the first lesson in common sense I could teach you. Name calling has a certain kindergarten mentality don't you think?
Why is it "my" label? Goverment by theology is theocracy. It was that way when I got here.
Okay. I didn't quite get that from the original rely.
For the anti-American Muslim, anti-Dearborn, pro-internment "Freepers," there's both bad news and good news. The bad news is that they discovered they couldn't always visually distinguish Muslims from Mexicans.
For them, that was also the good news.
Boy! Did you ever start a firestorm!!!!! LOL
kabar said he was not muslim in post 857
If the Bible is your authority for civil law, then you are a theocrat.
The Bible is not my authority for civil law. The Bible orders me to obey the civil law of such country I may inhabit, temporarily or by birth, so long as such obedience does not conflict with faith principles (i.e. compulsory Islamic prayer or prohibition of Christian worship).
Do you believe that makes me a theocrat, seeking government by theology? Or do I escape the label by falling outside of its definition?
The Bible is not my authority for civil law.
Then you obviously aren't a theorcrat.
Is there some reason that you latched onto that post and decided to make it personal?
The bad news is, some Americans would oppose our wishes.
The good news is, after another tragedy of sufficient size, they'll be on our side.
Your fantasy about rounding up tens of thousands of innocent Americans will never happen. But I guess you can dream.
My fantasy about America defeating the Islamic threat will also never happen.
But I guess I can dream.
The good news is, after another tragedy of sufficient size, they'll be on our side.
Dont count on it my friend .They will blame Bush and America for a next tragedy
Lebanon, Iraq and Afghanistan are three predominantly muslims (overwhelming) who are under siege. Refreshing considering every other conflict almost without exception involve Muslim interlopers putting non-Muslim countries under siege. Like I said REFRESHING. House of Islam/House of War? My ass. They need a little taste of that House of War too.
The way their boys drew it up in the Koran, they get to live in utter peace while all infidels live in war. My ass.
I don't want to believe it, but there is a possibility we are not made of the same stuff as the WWII generation.
They were willing to sacrifice. They were willing to do without, buckle under, and face incredible odds.
They didn't care if someone said something mean to them, or called them a racist because they didn't like Japanese or Germans.
They were willing to take harsh measures against largely-innocent people JUST IN CASE they might commit domestic acts of terror (e.g., Japanese internment).
These were a sterner, more durable, more willing people -- and because of it, they won.
I do not suspect that in this World War, America will win.
Off the wall post of the day:
You know how you have to get vaccinations as an infant. It's the law I believe to cut down on the occurence of infectious disease. a recent study shows that AIDS is more readily transmitted to uncircumsized men than circumsized. The difference is like 70%!
There should be mandatory circumcision for all US born males for health reason. The added benefit is you have added another soldier for the cause of freedom. The current world conflict can be boiled down to one simple fact. Uncircumcised men are at war with Circumcised men. Circumcision ought to be indicated on a Passport and this information used in the evaluation of a person's terror capacity. There I said it.
OK, with all due respect, I had to re-read your post because I wasn't sure if it was a joke or not.
Allow me to retort.
It is time to become RUDE and speak the truth clearly. I am prepared to say that ALL Muslims are our enemy because if they take over, which is their plan, ALL Muslims will turn on you and I the infidels.
Not only do you express that you want to be rude, you condemn millions of individuals to deportation and/or whatever nefarious plans you have in mind simply because of their religion. And I'm the one that is namecalling?
At least I am not casting aspersions on millions of individual people whom I do not know.
It definitely ain't gonna happen if we start rounding up innocent Americans for internment.
It sure condemned us to failure in WWII.
Now, let me get back to work for my Japanese imperial overlords.
