I ask my fellow freepers indulgence for this vanity, because I believe it is too important to be buried in the back of the forum.
Can a good Muslim be a good American? I sent that question to a friend who worked in Saudi Arabia for 20 years.
The following is his reply:
Theologically - no. Because his allegiance is to Allah, the moon god of Arabia.
Religiously - no. Because no other religion is accepted by his Allah except Islam (Quran, 2:256)
Scripturally - no. Because his allegiance is to the five pillars of Islam and the Quran (Koran).
Geographically - no. Because his allegiance is to Mecca, to which he turns in prayer five times a day.
Socially - no. Because his allegiance to Islam forbids him to make friends with Christians or Jews.
Politically - no. Because he must submit to the mullah (spiritual leaders), who teach annihilation of Israel and Destruction of America, the great Satan.
Domestically - no. Because he is instructed to marry four women and beat and scourge his wife when she disobeys him (Quran 4:34).
Intellectually - no. Because he cannot accept the American Constitution since it is based on Biblical principles and he believes the Bible to be corrupt.
Philosophically - no. Because Islam, Muhammad, and the Quran do not allow freedom of religion and expression. Democracy and Islam cannot co-exist. Every Muslim government is either dictatorial or autocratic.
Spiritually - no. Because when we declare "one nation under God," the Christian's God is loving and kind, while Allah is NEVER referred to as heavenly father, nor is he ever called love in The Quran's 99 excellent names.
Therefore after much study and deliberation...perhaps we should be very suspicious of ALL MUSLIMS in this country. They obviously cannot be both "good" Muslims and good Americans. Call it what you wish...it's still the truth. The more who understand this, the better it will be for our country and our future. The war is bigger than most Americans know or understand.
There are just a small number of choices:
1. Offer them the same choice they would us.
2. Declare Islam a criminal organization and not a religion (use the R.I.C.O. Act, seize the Mosques, deport and/or imprison the clerics).
3. Deport them to an Islamic country at their own expense or offset the cost from the proceeds seized under the R.I.C.O. statutes.
4. Formally declare war on Islam, capture them and exile them from the United States. (send them to Mexico?)
5. Shoot them.
Not finer. Essential.
...and thus we become the thing we hate.
Those who believe in John 3:16 and Rev 3:20 are christian....
I don't care about similarities...you are either a born again believer or you are not.
You forget #6. Accept Sharia and become a muslim nation.
Now personally I don't see accepting number 6,
so internment and eventual deportation may be our only
humanistic choice.
Considering the attitude of Islam, I'm afraid that won't be good enough and we may have to fight to the death.

Christians do not yell JESUS CHRIST while they behead someone. But wait, Christians don't run around beheading people. So why is it peace loving muslims scream ALLAH AKBAR while sawing off some innocent persons head?

Dirk's conversion to Islam is a specific example, not evidence of Islamic culture due to no Sharia Law in U.S. (yet anyway). Consider the following quote:

Sounds pretty compulsury to me. Convert or Die!
Concerning jihad, Jihad by the sword is one of the allowed "struggles." It CAN be a holy war.
Concerning miracles in Islam, just quoting what was told to me by a very learned Moslem I met in grad school. He admitted that they were no miracles specifically mentioned in the Koran that Mohammed did. That the Koran itself was the miracle.
And what other good work is compelled of in Islam. None I saw. And it is only 1/40th of income, not 1/10 as in Christianity for our tithe.
You know the temple, "Dome of the Rock." Get real. Why built on top of Soloman's temple??? Wonder why??

Yep, now that's the God of Abraham, the father of Jesus Christ right there. Did Christ act at all in this manner?? I don't think so.
Analyze this Abd critically and you will find the distinctions are stupendously large. Allah and Yahweh are different "Gods" completely. Use that brain "God" gave you and logic and reason demand you reach this conclusion.
Then again, logic and Islam are incompatible.
It's not even that subtle. Christians worship Jesus. Muslims don't. How can anyone who says Christians and Muslims worship the same God miss that?

Nope, I just believe it's sometimes unwise to adopt the mindset or tactics of an enemy. Not only are those tactics often ineffective, but they may have unexpected consequences.

The Doctrine of "No Salvation outside the Church" does not say that those outside the formal membership of the Catholic Church cannot be saved.
But, there are Catholics on this forum, Catholics on other fora, and publications that maintain that anyone who is not a formal member of the Catholic Church cannot be saved.

Through out the world the fastest growing religion is Christianity Muslims are second which in my mind is still a concern.
