There are no new pictures of the President or First Lady today, since they are spending some time together at Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas, but we know full well that there are no 'vacations' for this President, and that he is hard at work protecting America from danger.
So.......since there are no new photos, I'm posting several of my favorite ranch pictures just for fun, and will give my report on my husband's and my personal encounter with the President last week, and will post the photos taken from our very own camera.
Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on this slow August Daily Dose!
I REALLY like that ticket!
You got it, friend!
Distinguished Honor Grad!
Congrats to him!!! You have much to be proud of Ohio! ;*)
I'll definitely check. I start my internship in about a month so try to remind me then. My memory isn't that great lol but I'll try to remember.
You can drive from point to point and see it quite quickly. You really SHOULD go.
We were just sorry we couldn't see Manassas. We heard that it was a good battlefield to visit too.
(I don't know about others in the area. Some are in built up neighborhoods and not very well preserved).
Thanks! I am REALLY REALLY excited. Thus the reason I'm willing to ditch the orthopedist's advice if he tells me I need to wait an extra week or two. Lol hopefully he'll say it's fine for me to leave as scheduled.
I survived all the crackpot socialists in law school in part because we had an awesome Federalist Society. There was one guy in particular I really admired. Smart, conservative, Christian, and very boy-next-door cute. What struck me most was that he had an uncanny resemblance to Dubya, particularly to this picture. It might sound strange, but he looks more like a young Dubya than young Dubya did!
When we graduated, he was among Judge William H. Pryor's first batch of law clerks. Pryor was one of Dubya's best and most contentious picks. I hope my friend decides to get involved in federal politics and runs for president someday. He would keep Dubya's legacy alive.
Lol yeah I was looking at babynames.com. That's definitely not the weirdest one. Makoto, Manas, Mandar, Manjit...I'm having fun with this.
"Of course I am disappointed by the results, but I am not discouraged," Lieberman said..
"The old politics of partisan polarization won today," Lieberman said. "For the sake of our state, our country and my party, I cannot and will not let that result stand."
"Tomorrow morning our campaign will file the necessary petitions
so that we can continue this campaign for a new politics of unity and purpose."
LOL! Just don't do anything that would cause permanent damage to your ankle. Hurry up and heal! lol
I guess I again have you to thank for a great pic. You sure know how to spot 'em.
"...I have to admit that I probably pray more your President than I do for my own Prime Minister..."
((((A true Friend and Allie you are Eleanor!)))
To Us on F R and to Us in the US! Thank you!!
I think he'll let me go. I've made it very clear to EVERYONE that I'm going to be working at the PENTAGON and that I'm really really really excited and I wanna go. Lol so he'll probably just give me instructions on what to do and let me go.
She was a gorgeous girl. I snagged the photo...thanks!
I will admit to having a good eye for handsome men. No false humility here. ;)
LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!
Though of course green with envy, I am so thrilled that you had this awesome opportunity to meet such a great man--a man we know is in the White House for such a time as this. Do you have a photo of the framed photo? I would love to see it! I think you should write a note to GWB telling him how thrilled you were to meet him and also Eric's response to the gift. He would enjoy that!
Thanks again for letting us enjoy with you this wonderful moment in your lives.
