There are no new pictures of the President or First Lady today, since they are spending some time together at Prairie Chapel Ranch in Crawford, Texas, but we know full well that there are no 'vacations' for this President, and that he is hard at work protecting America from danger.
So.......since there are no new photos, I'm posting several of my favorite ranch pictures just for fun, and will give my report on my husband's and my personal encounter with the President last week, and will post the photos taken from our very own camera.
Enjoy your trip to Sanity Island on this slow August Daily Dose!
I think it's the same all over CA. I'm in San Diego, but the "looky loo's" are still doin' the same things as you describe, down here, too! Sheeple are EVERYwhere ;-)
Oh, heck you got me so curious I went and looked up Flat Stanley:
"In the book, Flat Stanley, by Jeff Brown, Stanley is squashed flat by a falling bulletin board. One of the many advantages is that Flat Stanley can now visit his friends by travelling in an envelope. This premise provides a reason for us to keep in touch with each other. The Flat Stanley Project is a group of teachers who want to provide students with another reason to write. Students' written work goes to other places by conventional mail and e-mail. Check out the Flat Stanley List of Participants to see where you can send a Flat Stanley or who might be sending a Flat Stanley to you."
And Flat Stanley was seen visiting the Leader of the Free World a few years ago.....
Lol probably not :)
That's an incredibly beautiful essay, Ohio. I feel as though I'd been there; it must have been great...so glad you got the picture signed.
Oh.........those are STUNNING, snugs!
See you all tomorrow.
I'll freep you a link to the picture if you'd like to see it.
Yes, and what he was training for. ;*) My neighbor, a retired Major, took me on a tour and explained what happens there. Plus, I talk to a lot of the troops. I can't leave my house without seeing some troops and I always walk up to them and thank them. ;*)
We travel ALL over the country A LOT.........
So did I, full time, for two full years until settling here for troop support/political reasons.
and it was like taking everyone else's morons and multiplying them at least a hundred fold.
Okay, this time you had me ROTFLOL for real. It is so sad, but so very true. Good thing it's too hot to have the windows open! ;*)
LOL!!!
I wonder if they have anything in the Pentagon [that is where you'll be working?] that has the names of the men killed on 9-11. My husband had a relative killed in the Pentagon that day. He was a distant relative, but I saw his picture in the newspaper and he looked so much like my husband, the same eyes. Maybe sometime if you have time could you check? Some departments have a wall that lists employees killed on duty. His name was Lt. Col. Cantwell Boone
You must be excited.....I'm excited for you!
Goodnight snugs, God bless!
Good possibility! She's only 43 so the combo could lock the WH up for 16 years! ;*)
Marion, that's good! Or Moe, Miles, Marlin, Maverick, Matlock??
We went to his graduation (Distinguished Honor Grad!), and toured the battlefield, and last weekend, we just happened to be visiting our other son who's in DC now, and took him down and we all toured it again together. (Elder son is also a Civil War fanatic).
Cool stuff..........and a very interesting battlefield.
Sad...but true!
Makelo? Wow, that's unusual.
would like...a lot!
