Someone at Guardian (UK) debunked a claim made by a blog RE: Qana. There was a claim about some "blurred writing" on the front of a guy's white shirt. The Guardian had access to a pic with better resolution than the pic published on the web & posted a close up of the area of the shirt in question. The shirt had a Fila logo, which was another thing that raised questions at that blog.
I don't think the pros are motivated to bust open stories about fudging news and/or photos. I think they prefer this would all just go quietly away. A "pundit" may be interested & may have access to better quality photos.

You could be right about the news not wanting to rat
on each other. It then opens the door for us.
FR has some pretty decent graphic people that
do as well as the pros.
