Tony spends 45 minutes a day trying to undo 16 years of public school un-American education.

Tony knocks down the nonsense that the US is standing along. Les up with something about the shooting in the Jewish temple. Tont says he won't use the murder of innocents a debating point about terror. Ouch!

I've seen bits and pieces over the last few days and have been meaning to ask your assesment of the situation.
Lester: who are we fighting, reference death in Seattle. Tony: not going to use death of innocents to make a point. Reporter: Castro health and reference to plans? Tony: we can't characterize Cuba. It's a closed society. President has stressed the importance of a Free and Democratic Cuba. There is a plan for a compact for a Free Cuba. We want the natural close ties between Cuban people and America. Stay where you. Don't get int he water going either way. A lot to rebuild. You have people running around in 1957 Chevies. Time for Cuban people to have rebuilt infrastructure. One of the things this gov't has been thinking for a while. Reporter q re: immigration. Tony: President is doing what he can to provide a comprehensive situation for orderly immigration and at the same time to keep borders secure and have a guest worker pgram and all the goals the President has laid out.

He even had the good sense to step down off the podium for a minute as Brady used his wheelchair to come onto the podium; Tony didn't want to appear so much taller and "above" Brady. Very nice.
Tony says it's a real privilege to work with the press...introduces previous Press secretaries starting with James Brady... (I'm listening not watching so I can't see...)...Ron Nessen; Marlin Fitzwater; Deedee Meyers: Joe Lockhart. Going to be kum-bay-ya. I got a lot of advice from everyone. This is a great job---somedays. Some memories linger. You are always going to be welcome. Try to fix inevitable glitches...

But Tony laughed and it seemed sincere. He's is the best I've ever seen at what he does.
