Why are you worried about tomorrow? Because the plane strike was supposed to happen then?
If the plane attacks were Phase 1 than perhaps we should worry more that Phase 2 would happen August 17?
my feeling is that their are no phases....just a massive attack on one day
Say your prayers tonight and get a good night's sleep.
Tomorrow make sure you exercise, wear your seatbelt and stay out of tall buildings.
We'll get through tomorrow okay. Betcha a nickle.
I'll be back here tomorrow night to collect.
German authorities are investigating a possible link between the captured terrorists of the recent airliner plot and a key figure in the Hamburg cell who worked with Mohammed Atta on the 9/11 attacks. Said Bahaji, a computer expert who helped plan 9/11, may have provided the same assistance to these suspected al-Qaeda terrorists:
German authorities are investigating contacts between a Briton being questioned over the alleged plot to blow up transatlantic airlines and a key figure in the September 11, 2001, terrorist cell.
Intelligence sources said that, at Britains request, they were examining possible links between the suspect and Said Bahaji, the computer expert in the Hamburg cell that planned the suicide hijackings in 2001.
Bahaji shared an apartment in Hamburg with Mohamed Atta, the lead hijacker, and Ramzi Binalshibh, the planner of 9/11. He fled Germany for Pakistan a week before the attacks in New York and Washington and has never been caught.

One of the arrested militants Abu Anaz has revealed that he was the body guard of Lashkar second-in-command Zaki-ur-Rehman and given detailed description about functioning of the terror outfit and the monthly meetings that take place between Pakistan Army officials and LeT leaders.

Pakistan arrests suspected "suicide trainer"
Tue Aug 15, 2006 4:02 PM BST
KARACHI (Reuters) - Pakistani police arrested on Tuesday a suspected Islamic militant accused of training religious students to become suicide bombers, a police official said.
In a separate incident, a security official said 29 suspected Taliban fighters from Afghanistan had been arrested in a raid on a hospital in southwestern Pakistan, where they were getting treatment after being brought from Afghanistan.
The suspected suicide-bomb trainer, Mohammad Ashraf Qureshi, was arrested with two other men in a pre-dawn raid in the city of Karachi, senior police official Chaudhry Aamir Hameed told Reuters.
"He's been targeting young boys in madrasas, brain-washing them and turning them into suicide bombers," Hameed said, referring to Islamic schools, some of which have earned reputations for being militant breeding grounds.

Thanks...good to be here!
I hope they let them go but keep tight surveillance on them
But one because of political correctness will never be formally admitted.
These people should have been subjected to lie detector tests. I know they are not court admissible, but if these people ARE terrorists and we let them free to do evil deeds a different day, it endangers the public and makes homeland security appear to be nonexistant.
Potential terrorists apparently have a green light to do whatever they want, whenever they want. They've been written up for lying about the cameras - isn't that grounds enough to be concerned about their intentions?
Were it you or I, jail cells would be the visual. Fear of the ACLU and litigation (protecting THEIR civil rights and ignoring ours) will certainly pave their path to the next 9/11 with our law enforcement / homeland security good intentions.
Excellent post Oorang! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Snip: We are looking at cognitive dissonance. The mindset of the left blogosphere is that there's no real terrorist threat out there...

We must not give in to Muslim blackmail
Snip: The introduction of Sharia Law in Britain along with important religious days in the Muslim calendar becoming public holidays for followers of the faith should do the trick, or so claims the secretary general of the Union of Muslim Organisations in the UK and Ireland.
Storm over Islamic preacher's Wale visit
Snip: A POLITICAL storm blew up last night as it emerged a controversial Islamic preacher with radical views is due to speak at one of the most prestigious concert halls in Wales. Dr Zakir Naik's publicly-expressed views include calling for the execution of Muslims who reject their faith and portraying Americans as people who eat and behave like pigs.
His scheduled appearance at Cardiff's St David's Hall this Saturday has provoked outrage from a Welsh MP who has urged the event be cancelled, particularly at a time of such international tension. But the organiser of the education conference at which the preacher will be speaking said he was headlining the event "to put bums on seats".
Dr Naik, 40, is an Indian medical doctor who has a reputation as a radical preacher. He is the founder and leader of an organisation called the Islamic Research Foundation, based in Mumbai.

Banned group tried to rent hall near suspects' homes
Snip: Al-Ghurabaa booked the council-owned community hall in Walthamstow on two occasions, but gave false information about the purpose of the events. One of the planned meetings, in February at Waltham Forest Asian Centre, was to plan protests against the Danish cartoons bearing images of the prophet.
The group was also stopped from using the hall in November last year when it was booked under a pseudonym by an associate of Omar Bakri, the radical cleric who has been banned from visiting Britain.
Runaway (age 12) boards plane without passport or boarding pass
Snip: POLICE are investigating how a 12-year-old boy with neither a passport nor a boarding pass was able to walk on to an international flight at Gatwick at a time when security staff were supposed to be on high alert. The child, who had run away from a care home, boarded a plane bound for Portugal early on Monday, even though security had been raised amid fears of a terrorist attack.

Supposedly they were going to sell the phones to someone in Dearborn - in which case, coming home to Texas through Michigan would be right on the way.
I still don't buy the phone reselling story. Even assuming it's true as far as it goes, what was that person going to be doing with the phones? Supposedly he was going to buy them for $38 each after those 3 had bought them from Wal-Mart for $20 - clearly there would be no reasonable expectation for that person to sell them yet again and make any kind of profit.
My bet is that if in fact they were going to be selling the phones in Dearborn, the person who was buying them was planning to use them for some kind of illegal purpose - terrorism or drugs, most likely. It's barely possible that the 3 individuals weren't aware of the ultimate purpose of the phones, but that just puts the question off one level.
There must be a few different accounts of the story. I've been following the story very closely and read in a few places that they were going to sell them in Texas. I didn't know they were planning on making a Dearborn connection first. Thanks for the info.
There's a picture of the so-called mother on the front page.

You and me both. Although the bridge is pretty massive as I recall, you'd need a lot of explosives to bring it down.
Still a good sized truck bomb should do it if you set it off in the right place so that it severed one of the main cables - but this could be done without cell phones, unless they were planning to leave the truck on the bridge as "broken down" and walk off, then set off the explosion using a cell phone once they were safely on land. Seems like a somewhat shakey idea - is the cell reception reliable enough in the middle of the bridge for that to work? Setting off the bomb on one of the approaches would be easier but would do less damage.
However this would only take a couple of cell phones, a half dozen at most. My bet is that the plan was for something much bigger and more spread out - bombs in many places perhaps, or a major drug operation. What else would you need hundreds of phones for?!
Of course that in itself is suspicious - either the story is changing or there's more than one connection that they were planning to make.
