Democratic Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts on Monday proposed that all Americans be required to have health insurance by 2012, and that the government should take steps to make sure anyone uninsured at that point receives coverage.
But if we're not there by 2012, we will require that all Americans have health insurance, with the federal government guaranteeing they have the means to pay for it," Kerry said.
He said his plan could be financed by repealing the Bush administration's tax cuts for people earning more than $200,000 a year. He did not say how he would enforce the proposal to have all Americans insured if his plan is not implemented by 2012.

Sorry, the Kerry universal health care doesn't cover this illness. ;)"
So you mean to tell me that in the socialist utopia, I cannot draw on any government programs for this? No paid leave from work, no free medical for all the specialists I'll need to see? I'm starting to like this less and less. I was for the universal health care plan before I voted against it.
New date?
(Go Israel, Go! Slap 'Em Down Hezbullies.)
Kerry might as well just as might he's calling for inferior health care. I've seen and experience the MODEL. IT'S CRAP!
all of the years working as a e.r nurse I can never remember a time we refused care to ANYONE, we even provided meds, taxi vouchers home, free meals and sometimes clothes it did not matter, many were admitted, had surgery scheduled, yada yada yada, legal and illegal( of course we were never allowed to ask their staus) but you knew this is bonk pure and simple that's why e,r's are losing so much money
Didn't he praise Romney's plan in Taxachussetts?
If healthcare is expensive now, wait until its free.

It would be far less expensive if the government had kept out of it and medicare had never started. At this point I don't know if there is any hope left, most hospitals spend far more money than would be required to furnish good care. I look at our local monstrosities and have no doubt that I could cut costs enough to save enough every week for me to retire on without compromising on actual health care and that is without considering all the permanent buildings and fixtures that never should have been built in the first place. Then there are all the incredibly expensive tests that are run just so that the doctors can avoid liability suits. I heard an older doctor on the radio some years back and he was saying that in his day they used to make a diagnosis and then run a test if necessary to confirm the diagnosis but now they run a test for every conceivable possibility to eliminate anything that might possibly be wrong other than what the doctor thinks the problem is.
You entertain us! Very funny post.
Who let him out of his hole?
"This is flat-out socialism, plain and simple. Employers will shut down their doors istead of having government regulators force them to provide coverage for unskilled workers."
Rush said this morning the Big 3 automakers are asking Bush for some type of help. They said they spend more on health car than they do on STEEL!?
