Not sure what to believe about the Gibson item, except to say that if he'd said those things whilst sober (if he said them at all) I'd be pretty angry at him. It would appear he's an alcoholic and was drunk. I tend to discount anything said by anyone who's drunk.

I've seen people announcing that drinking brings out one's true self. I don't think that's true. It might be true for some, but not for all.

Drinking doesn't (as a rule) bring out anything. The only thing it does is show one's 'drunk self.' Which means basically nothing.

I am not familiar with Alex Jones, but I wish I could pick up some of the Texas stations. Sounds funny!

Alex is definitely one of a kind. Art Bell has had him on a few times. He's not all that old-- mid-thirties _maybe_-- yet his on-air voice makes him sound a lot older and all Texan. He's actually a pretty burly guy, though. Unlike a lot of hosts, Jones actually takes his camera around places (he's been arrested for being nosey, too) to film the subjects he goes on about.

He often comes off as a Savage-esque crank. But his delivery is compelling, if hard to believe.

Thats a pretty good pickup for the distance! And on a clock radio!
I can sometimes get WPHT at 9am or so in the car. But WRVA, which is fairly close to me (~2hrs away) is almost impossible to get.
Go figure.
