590 KLBJ, here in Austin, has given Alex Jones two hours on Sunday afternoons. I remember 5-10 years ago when KJFK was the only station that would give him a shot (whilee he was doing his cable access show) and he and KLBJ were sworn enemies.
I remember when KLBJ's news director pranked him on air (anonymopusly, of course), but Jones just talked over him till he hung up. Today, he said that once 9/11 occcurred, his career rocketed.
Anyone who has seen thee Linklater films "Waking Life" andd his new "A Scanner Darkly" will have seen him.
Just funny.

I'll have to double check, but now WOWO drops to 5,000 watts at night, IIRC. I work afternoons, never could get it on my drive home.
BTW I'm in Detroit.
I'd like to add that these deputies act on behalf of The People, and once (if) Mel is officially convicted, I don't see why they wouldn't be accessible.

A station in Raleigh used to have a "sexual relationship" help show on before Art Bell... the user call ins would get pretty graphic.
To: TechJunkYard
I agree! I love to figure out where the stations are located. I had a great one to listen to that made Art Bell seem normal that ended up coming from Tenn! Sadly, they changed to a full Christian format.

"What do you think you're looking at, sugar tits?" I find that part kinda funny. It would have been right at home in the Glen Campbell drunk driving saga.

Well, I guess we'll learn for sure whether Mel's star power is enough to shield him from hiw own weaknesses as far as Hollywood is concerned.

Well, before you purchase your next upgrade, you better look into DRM...which is the digital standard that a lot of world band broadcasters are turning too. Plus is seems like more and more broadcasters are dropping services.

I am not familiar with Alex Jones, but I wish I could pick up some of the Texas stations. Sounds funny!

I find that part kinda funny. It would have been right at home in the Glen Campbell drunk driving saga.True. But if your avereage Joe Screwup had said it, the booking would have turned into a wall-to-wall affair, I'm sure.

Hi FF :)
I have never been able to figure out why Alex Jones has an audience. Art Bell is bad enough, but at least he's in on the joke. Jones has no 'storyteller' buffer.
