Over 600 posts already. I would never have seen it.
I wouldn't have known about it if AZR had done that. I don't check the daily live thread and I imagine many others are the same as I in that regard. Got that knot untwisted now?
I avoid the "live" thread like the plague. Full of small talk totally unrelated to this war, and hard to find actual news. Seemed like a good idea when they set it up, but now it seems more like a chat room.
I would never have known about this otherwise, and sure wouldn't have read a six hundred page generic daily thread to find out.

Ah yes... make it even more difficult to use Free Republic as a source for breaking news... You expect us to read through a few thousand posts to find out the latest.
It is easier to got to other sites to learn the news. If you get your way.. it is way to hard for people to know what is going on in this world Free Republic, we will have to find a site that allows breaking news.
Because many of us lack the time to sift through hundreds of posts to find the latest news.
Because then I would have missed it, if AZRepub had.
Some of us do not have the time or patience to sift through 1000 posts of...

Your comment is even worse than the "Already Posted Here" remarks that are too common on this forum.
The daily live thread is a navigational nightmare after a few hundred posts.

Most likely because the daily thread is 99% chatter and people don't have time to look for the news in it.

I'm glad he didn't. The "Live" threads are mostly chat and nearly impossible to glean any information from. It's much better when breaking news is posted in breaking news as it happens.
I disagree, this appears to be bigger than what's posted on the daily LIVE chat thread. I think it deserves it's own thread.
