I avoid the "live" thread like the plague. Full of small talk totally unrelated to this war, and hard to find actual news. Seemed like a good idea when they set it up, but now it seems more like a chat room.

I agree the live thread can be tedious.

But when something breaks, it's posted right away because many freepers have FOXNEWS and CNN on in the same room as their computers.

I didn't mean to sound like I was chastizing AZR...I only begged the question.

Live thread is a good idea and I'm sure intentions are good but I agree that there is way too much small talk and pings. I read it last if time permits but often skip it.

I agree. I gave the live thread a try...but it's too bulky and tedious...and in SOME cases trivial. Once cannot find the war news of the day except by sorting through 100's of posts.

I avoid the live threads as well. Page after page of nonsense, boring as can be. No thanks.
