Israeli combat soldiers walk along the Israeli northern border with Lebanon. US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is pursuing a new round of Middle East diplomacy as the Lebanon conflict moved into its 19th day, with Israel and Hezbollah exchanging firepower and threats in defiance of international moves toward a ceasefire
"" IIRC the original article indicated that Chinese engineers (WTF?) were the first to arrive with backhoes and such... ""
I sincerely hope and pray China is not also backing the Hezbolla(on the ground and with weapons). China has already condemned Israel for the incident.
I heard Dana also...
I really worry about Congresscritters with agendas at a time like this...
What is making me ill right now is the discussions of "how this will affect the elections in November"...pfffffft

"by the way this thread and some posts on it are being trashed on this thread:"
I'm no FRexpert but I thought it was not only bad form but that it was also against FReeper guidelines to post another's post on another thread?
Looks like the site that dare not be mentioned. Lol, to each his own.
As I understand it, the Google maps are not up to date. I've heard they are as old as 4 years. The buildings in the area look to be somewhat new. That might be why you're not seeing them.
LOL!

I especially liked how quickly the "impromptu" mob had their PA system blaring.
I went to that thread first this morning...but, wasn't really happy with the "tone" some of the posters were taking...so, I finally found this site...
I find that the ones that want to dicuss things logically, and bring some common sense to the table tend to hang out here.
Maybe you should send the CNN link to Jennifer of Fox News. She's blaming the IDF/IAF for a direct hit on the building. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Great link, btw.
You might be interested in a subject called GIS, a fantastic new set of technologies which allows you to create your own maps from databases of elevation models, and overlaid raster and vectory imagery.
A good place to start is here:

Bolton on CNN now.
It has been a good place to track and talk the news...
Good grief - now we're being directly threatened with an attack from Iran. They are sure big talkers for not having a nuke.
(I'm thinking they are either totally nuts or they do).
Great slam...I agree.
GIS looks neat. Bookmarked it. Thanks.
