McCain birthed SOROS and his clean dollars in political campaigns.

"
The issue has been Giuliani vs McCain, and in that matchup conservatives would reluctantly choose McCain over the liberal Giulaini. "
Easy:
Yet the polls show that Rudy is the favorite not just of Republicans, but of conservatives. And my recent conversations - on and off the record - with state-level GOP activists shows that these folks range from enthusiastic to at least open to America's Mayor making a run for the Oval Office.
AND:
Some people who identify themselves as strong conservatives, even when we did do the push-poll questions in Georgia and Florida,
were still more willing to go with Giuliani," Johnson said. "Strong, Christian conservatives."
http://www.nypost.com/postopinion/opedcolumnists/rudy__the_front_runner_opedcolumnists_ryan_sager.htm
There has already been a plenty of match ups between Rudy and McCain, in practically every 2008 poll since the start of this year, and Rudy has regularly clobbered McCain.
Your "conservatives would reluctantly choose McCain over the liberal Giulaini" is not supported by the reality on the ground.
And Rudy even beats McCain in polls where it's been made clear that to conservative voters that Rudy is liberal on a lot of issues.
Still Rudy is beating McCain amongst conservatives.
Conservatives are NOT choosing John McCain.
You are living on cloud cuckoo land.

"Both Kristol's advocate and support big government Republicanism, along with being pro-abortion.
Both men could be classified as RINO`s. Especially the elder Kristol.
Charles Krauthammer is another neocon, aka.libertarian.
Neocon, libertarian and liberal Republicans ALL have been classiifed as RINO`s at one time or another."
I think it's you that had better work on your reading comprehensive skills.
I have never mentioned either Kristol or Krauthammer in any of my posts. You did.
I have talked about conservative bloggers like Powerline and Hugh Hewitt and conservative talk radio like Rush Limbaugh (14 million mainstream conservative listeners)listeners), all of whom regularly trash John McCain.
And I know for sure, that neither Powerline nor Hugh Hewitt, nor Limbuagh, nor any of the top conservative blogs I read espouse your "big government Republicanism, along with being pro-abortion" ideology.
And as far as I know, neither Kristol nor Krauthammer maintain any blogs.
If they do, I have never read them or referred to them in any previous posts of mine.
So you can keep creating your own bogeyman and shooting it down.
That's got nothing t do with me.

"McCain birthed SOROS and his clean dollars in political campaigns. "
Yup.
We have McCain to thank for holding everyone else down to $2000, while giving Bush-hating uber rich vermin like Soros, virtually unlimited unlimited power to try and buy any elections they want, with no accountability to anyone.
Is McCain Fiengold bill evil? You bet.
But hey, McCain was too busy playing this cute "maverick" for the drive-by media to bother about the opinions of conservatives.
He is merely paying for years of annoying conservatives. You can't abuse a bunch of people for years, then expect them to vote for you come primaries time.

"Bottom line: McCain is not presidential material."
Agree.
On top of all he above, the fact that the drive-by media love this guy alone, is enough reason not to vote for this guy.
Anything the drive-by's love is almost always bad for America.

I know McCain isn't popular around FR. Only 39% of FReepers supported him versus Hillary Rotten in a recent FR POll Question. While 69% of FReepers supported RudyG against Hillary. "
Even worse:
John McCain 2.7% 162

I've been following politics for many years and I learned long ago, not to place much credence in the polls this far out. They're almost meaningless at this point. We're two years and three months away from the 2008 Presidential election. Two years away from the GOP convention. Roughly 1-1/2 years away from the Iowa caucus and the New Hampshire primary. And 8-12 months away from the earliest candidate declarations for 2008.
For me this debate is more about Rudy Giuliani, not John McCain. Anyway. Once the average conservative Republican gets around to reviewing Rudy`s political record, "da Mayors" lead in most of these early polls, will evaporate. Social conservatives will not buy what Rudy is selling and for good reason. Liberalism doesn't sell for most Republicans, and even fewer conservatives

Just offering a little education in American politics. Obviously you don't understand that neocon Republicans like Kristol and Krauthammer, can be RINO`s too. Same goes for libertarian Republicans and liberal Republicans. A RINO is someone who doesn't support a majority of the GOP`s political platform. Which BTW, is a fairly conservative platform.

For right now, that's all we got.
They are still much better than your "and in that matchup conservatives would reluctantly choose McCain over the liberal Giulaini. "
You basically have nothing to back that up, apart from vague references to all these conservatives you personally know. That doesn't really know much.
I know plenty of conservatives too, and non of them has any use for McClain. So what?

I wouldn't touch his DI's job with a ten foot pole. Walking around on eggshells just waiting for McCain's temper to blow up over some trivial mishap.
That said, I wish his Son the best of luck in his Marine Corps adventure.

In the meantime, I know 3 families personally, and others through word-of-mouth by acquaintance, who are sending their sons to war. These are young men who are volunteering to serve. They are not being "sent" by their parents. The Dems like to characterize our troops as children who are being given to the military by their parents. They shouldn't be demeaned in this way.

WAKE UP! THE POLLS ARE MEANINGLESS AT THIS POINT! PERIOD!
There is nothing to back up. These polls have no credibility. A year from now, we'll see the beginning of the actual race for the White House. First we have to see who will be running. You want to put the cart before the horse, the chicken before the egg. Things don't work that way in American politics.
Btw, would you vote for a liberal in the GOP primary? In the general election? Would you vote for Rudy Giuliani?

Yup.

"Once the average conservative Republican gets around to reviewing Rudy`s political record, "da Mayors" lead in most of these early polls, will evaporate."
Even in polls where Rudy's liberal positions have been mentioned to pollsters before questioning them, Rudy is still beating McCain.
Conservatives already know McCain very well, (the puffed up McCain loves publicity even more than Paris Hilton), and what they know, they don't much like.
" Social conservatives will not buy what Rudy is selling and for good reason. Liberalism doesn't sell for most Republicans, and even fewer conservatives "
You keep pretending to speak for conservatives, with a point of view that is contrary to all evidence.
The reality on the ground today does not support you.

I won't flame you, I agree with you! As to supporting him for President. If he is the only against a MARXIST LEFTIST RAT, he will get my vote. But that is the only way. Better a RINO( as you all like to label people) than a communist. :-)

Hah Hah!
Try not to burst a gut will ya?
"There is nothing to back up"
Every single 2008 poll since the start of this year, with Rudy ahead of both McCain, and Hitlery is a lot of something.
"These polls have no credibility. "
Heh Heh!
They sure have more credibility than the hot air we are getting from you so far.
That's where the real nothing is.
"A year from now, we'll see the beginning of the actual race for the White House"
Race for the 2008 White House started right after the 2004 elections.
Because if 24 hour cable news, talk radio, and the Internet, things move much faster than they used to.
"You want to put the cart before the horse, the chicken before the egg. "
You don't even have a cart , a horse, a chicken or an egg.
So far you have given absolutely nothing apart from vague references to phantom "conservative friends".
"Things don't work that way in American politics."
You have no idea what works in American politics.
From what I hear from you so far, you are as clueless as they come.

I appreciate John McCain's military service to our country. It was extraordinary. However, that doesn't excuse the terrible decisions he has made in the US Senate. He was a war hero but that shouldn't give him a free pass to the White House.
His son sounds like a great kid. And I love how he bucked the family and went with the Corps :) Godspeed, Jimmy.

McCain has a lifetime ACU rating of 83, which is higher than Shelby, Stevens, Murkowski, Lugar, Snowe, Collins, Coleman, Cochran, Gregg, Domenici, DeWine, Voinovich, Smith, Specter, Chafee, and Warner, and the same as Grassley and Bond.
