Yes, slide rules are handy devices and many of us gals appreciate them but Ive found it to be true
the size of the slide rule is of no consequence unless the engineer in charge knows how to put it to good use - :),
And unless you are married to or know your engineer very, very well, best to always use a pocket protector too!

married him AND he knows
how to put it to good use AND his slide rule is one where -- well, he
doesn't have to get one o' them newfangled calculator things to help him out on the larger problems. Ahem.
