I homeschool my kids, so I admit I like it when I get my free time, but it only takes me a few hours recharge time before I miss them. Boring? I sometimes wish they were boring. Last night the power went off and my younger ones would not stop talking. LOL!

There are women who's posts I have read on other threads who say they prefer the school year so they can have their free time, or complain about holidays and summer holiday. They say they want to do things for themselves and not involve their children.

I've been grantd a mini Mommy holiday today. Hubby and daughter are spending the day together, away from the house. I can't tell you how many times I have caught myself looking out the window to check on her..........and they've only been gone 2 hours!!!!

Sometimes, I feel like I need a break, too, just to get caught up on things like housework and paperwork. I let them go out with and visit grandparents a few times this summer without me so that I could do housework and, yes, even catch up on some sleep.

Other than that, my husband and I never go out together without the kids. What ever would this woman do if she had to homeschool? ;-)

You have a talker too, huh? *L*

You're are right .. there are times mom's need some free time to clear our heads and recharge

But I would never say my kids bore me and I would never say they were a mistake .. which is basically what this author is saying

How sad, how very, very sad for this woman's children. If she can afford a nanny, she probably doesn't HAVE to work. And, remember, it was Eleanor Roosevelt who was around back in the forties telling women that they SHOULD put their children in child care and get jobs outside the home to FULFILL themselves.

The democrats have for a long, long time wanted socialism in this country.

I just spent four days in the hospital.
I cried when I saw my children and cried when they had to leave. I couldn't WAIT to get home!
