US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice salutes a US Marine as she walks towards a helicopter upon her departure from Beirut after meeting with Lebanese officials.
HOOAH!
BTW- Since Rudi left CNN she has been great! She's doing some fine investigative reporting for Gibby...did she replace Heather (I think that was her name)?
I believe Blair got briefed on this a couple months ago, prompting a thread here at FR.
I want mail too :(
I can find no trace of any Abu Jaffar as some Hezbollah leader.
anyone know something?
They've been there... this is today:

Little danger in that...
The bad guys aren't stupid, either, and probably better informed than a guy speculating from a cornfield in Indiana...
If I can figure it out, you can BET that a Syrian Intelligence officer has, too...
If you choose to discuss future or ongoing operations involving a US ally here at FR, I can't stop you, but as I said, I don't think it's a good idea, for a lot of reasons.
.....hey, i like the Fijians.....
.....bula.....
Wonder how the Fijians will respond?
.....well, that brings up a funny memory from fiji.....
.....was there about 20 years ago.....
.....visited a garden of ole ironsides.....
.....passed a man in military pants, shirt and helmet, but no shoes or weapons (he was barefoot!).....
.....we were on a scooter on a dirt road and he was jogging.....
.....this was in the middle of nowhere btw.....
.....when we passed him, he smiled and said bula.....
.....when we mentioned this to a local they explained.....
.....that there was currently a civil war going on.....
.....shocked, i committed that i hadn't heard about this, or i wouldn't have booked a vacation there.....
.....the local told me not to worry, she didn't think either side was armed and there had only been a couple of fist fights so far!.....
.....this is my honest recollection.....
.....some items might be clouded by the fact that a Coke cost $5 down there and Fiji Beer was $1.....
I tried to take a Kleenex from my shizu once..I will never try that again.
the shizu analogy i think is appropriate given the state of Syria's military, but if that shizu gets a hold of you . . . ;)
the number two man in hezbollah is
Imad Fayez Mughniyah.
I doubt he was the one.
He is huge.
The US want this man almost as badly as Bin Laden
Geez, wonder how the UN got hit....hmmm.
Any missile so armed could be traced to it's origin and THAT country would soon cease to exist. Also, it would not be possible to get a ship or truck into Israeli territory so armed.
The only possible way for the Jihadis to use a nuke is to lure either US or Israeli forces to place where it's been pre-positioned...and to get a bunch of those forces there.
Could Hizbollah have a nuke in the Bekaa, or on the road to same...just waiting for the IDF to move an armored division that way?
Abu Jaffar. I have done a search but with just those two names it could me any number of people.
When you lie down with dogs...
Heather Naurt (or something like that)left FNC quite some time ago, and went to ABC, where she has been burried from sight. Too bad, she had a lot of potential with FOX, but jumped to a bigger alphabet, only to disappear.
I totally buy into the argument that they are luring IDF into a kill zone. They could launch missiles with WMD warheads into the old areas they occupied.
