US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice salutes a US Marine as she walks towards a helicopter upon her departure from Beirut after meeting with Lebanese officials.
CNN: The plan initially would involve putting an international force of up to 10,000 Turkish and Egyptian troops under a NATO or U.N. commander into southern Lebanon following a cease-fire.
Nice!
When we get our new place (hopefully next year) I'd like to build the "man room" for myself. LOL
Dreamers re: ceasefire.

Does Google Earth show real time shots?
No.
A few companies will offer up one pass a day, but R/T imagery is usually restricted to world power intelligence agencies.
Way to go. It's a great feeling isn't it!
send me ur email and I will ship you pix...
And CNN has been where the last 25 years or so????
Mmmmm, dunno, close call. Say, OK, yes. Since it's bootleg and all (LOL!)
I've been wondering. Will it make my blood boil?
Probably. It goes out of its way to make the oil industry look bad (you know as well as I, that Halliburton doesn't sit around planning coups or assassinations, nor does Exxon). The picture of the industry is 20 years out of date: it doesn't reflect the fact that 70% of worldwide liquid oil reserves are now in the hands of statal or semistatal enterprises controlled by politicians -- the guys with the guns. Exxon owns/controls 4% of worldwide production, only 1% of reserves. Shell, BP, and Chevron+Texaco are all smaller than ExxonMobil by a fairly stout form factor -- although BP has bulked up a whole lot in the last 10 years through its purchases (Arco, Amoco -- added to Sohio, previously owned).
The film does try to capture the arrival on the scene of the Chinese state and semistatal oil companies, which is the interesting new factor of the last five years, portraying them correctly as politico-business rivals of American interests.
I think the film is shot through with Hollywood bias and hostility toward oil companies and the CIA, is the bottom line -- and Republicans.
Of course.
Oh please...more Muslims? give me a break.
However, the writer/director/producer does pretend to verism and truthtelling, so there you are.
It's amusing.
The Muslim Troops will only recognize the cease-fire from the Israeli troops. With Hezbollah, the sky's the limit.
OK. That's why the Baghdad shots look like they were done pre-war. We've tried to find the U.S. military bases on there and don't see them.

Are pigs flying today?
I've been offline a few hours to add some more ram to my puter (and had to make a run for some canned air. And a second ram stick)
Congratulations on being a homeowner...I know it is one of the most stressful thing to do...buying a house..but it feels so good, the first time you put the key in the lock, of YOUR new home.
