Hezbollah terrorists fire a missile from the southern Lebanese city of Tyre.
I was reading somewhere that the IAF was getting all the training money the past couple years because everyone thought that air superiority would ensure victory. This resulted in less training for ground forces, etc.
It is sad seeing these Israeli troops heading into battle without flak jackets like our US troops have.
I don't have cable, do you have more on that...?
Mine too.
Israelis are tough, very masculine men. I know, I saw hundreds of them yesterday at the Israel rally in the Miracle Mile.
I'm not familiar with their Army gear, though.
Yeah, those guys are pulling some really tough duty right about now.
Right.
It was a text quote on FOX that resulted from some interviews our friend Sheppy was doing with the Israeli soldiers who have come back from the front lines. He is finding quotes that I never ever expected to hear from any mouths of IDF.
Precisely.
I just hope our soldiers in Iraq and Afganistan have had terrorist training. And from what I'm reading, the terrorists have ramped up their techniques and have absolutely no fear of death.
On ABC (radio) news as I was heading back in from lunch...
(paraphrasal)
Correspondent to Israeli soldier: "They (Hezbollah) are fighting very hard aren't they?" (Tone as if to imply the Hezzies are just too tough.)
Israeli soldier, simply: "We fight harder."
Sounded more in line with the Allah-Jazeera propaganda that Israel forces are impressed with Hizb'Allah "might."
Off topic, but since last night there's been nothing but choppers overhead and now sirens in my neighborhood. (Working at home today, heh heh.)
Huge rally yesterday in the boiling heat for ISRAEL... anywhere from 5,000 to 10,000 in attendance.
WTH???
Would you please elaborate on that?
THAT's more like it!
Shep had to find the youngest looking Israeli soldier...he looked like he was 15, but when asked why he was there this young soldier said, *I am defending my country*............Shep continues to ask these stupid questions...he should ask that to the Hezzies...
Poor Sheppy. He must have worked hours to find the responses he wanted. spit.
5-10 thou?? That is wonderful! Yesterday in that heat. So what's with the helos and sirens today? Glad you're at home, eh?
FOX reported coming in of new rocket attacks, wouldn't this be the first night firings of the war. I was under the impression Hizbullah hadn't been firing at night to avoid giving off a bigger heat signature than necessary
Shep doesn't know what he's talking about either.
Imagine the rockets that have been/are being shipped to Hez. By the thousands from Iran through Syria's back door.
See my post 667. That is all I know at this point but I am sure Shep will play this again so will watch for it. The text stayed on screen for full minute. Why is IDF allowing Shep to interview these men "just back from the front lines" anyway?
