Hezbollah terrorists fire a missile from the southern Lebanese city of Tyre.
Wow. Bib talking about "forces that have been percolating for 1000 years." Says the Mahdi was supposed to come back in 1000 years, which is about now.
LMAO! Ummm...I think Sleuth was asking about your wife's electric toothbrush going off when you use your coffee grinder! LMAO!
"no more bad guys in the Marroon village - I think I heard it right"
Yes you did, and he added that the fighting there had become "one-sided".
OMG LMAO too!
I hope lots of Americans are learning lots of real history as this unwinds. Those who read this conflict only in the framework of today's NYT headlines and CNN soundbites are getting to the movie way too near the end...
Actually Gibson said there were...and actually laughed at the guy and said "Why would our government have to risk their lives to go to Hezbollah land to get your clients, when they had been told not to go...but if you go, don't expect the US to bail you out"..
The lawyer argued and said no there was no warnings or restricitions...Gibson said he thought there was.
When he came back after commercial..he said the guy was right..so, he must have checked...but it sure sounds SO different from what I had been hearing.
Okay..so there is a difference then, right?
I wonder if the warning has the caveat that they travel at their own risk...
I guess this requires research!
The average American knows NOTHING about the recent history of the Middle East, and of Israel's history and how they came about in 1948. Therefore they cannot put any of this into any sort of historical perspective.
Netanyahu was just wonderful on Hannity and Colmes. Alarming, but wonderful
Well, um, ah, er...
I think I need some more caffeine!
Five proud years of replying without reading the posts I'm replying to!
But yes, Sleuth, I'm not kidding about that, either -- we've even considered an exhorcism or Ghostbusters....
Wish we could swap that Kurd commercial with the Head On (and friends) commercials...then we could see the Kurdish one several dozen times a day and the Head On one only once or twice instead :-) (With Head On paying, of course...you know, they'd win more favor doing that, than ever making up for all the people who have sworn to never try their products since those commercials are so annoying! LOL!)
Oh, yes...International Househunters...in some parts of Europe, you can get a LARGE closet for the cost of a 3 bedroom home in Texas...LOL
I believe there is a difference, yes. But I'm no expert. And you're right about the warning - you travel at your own risk.
Well, I need to go to bed. I will check in either later tonight (if I have a bout of insomnia) or in the morning.
A great book that I am reading is called 'A Peace to End All Peace'
I work with a lot of Filipinos-good folks, hard working and very comitted to their children's education.A very friendly and hospitable group and very welcoming of others outside their nationality.
Only criticisms-just a little too obsessed with gambling and fashion.I know most other groups have similiar faults but, along with Chinese people,Filipinos have a real love affair with the world of Casinos.
Col. Hunt just called Hezbollah "A murdering bunch of bastards" on H & C. LOL!
For when you log back on...
We originally got the DirecTV when our son still lived at home...he wanted to get the NFL package to watch all games..
but mostly the NHL package to watch all hockey.
I THINK at some point DirecTV may go to a "pick you own" system..which would be good..they also have XM satellite stations now also..which is really nice.
Did you just catch Bibi Netanyahu on H&C? He was great.
THUD!
I think the restrictions on Lebanon were the same as on Israel.
