I work with a lot of Filipinos-good folks,hard working and very comitted to their children's education.A very friendly and hospitable group and very welcoming of others outside their nationality.
Only criticisms-just a little too obsessed with gambling and fashion.I know most other groups have similiar faults but,along with Chinese people,Filipinos have a real love affair with the world of Casinos.
Not all " a little too obsessed with gambling ". My wife's from Cebu: Oldest city in RP, relatively conservative. I took her to the Electronics Show in Vegas one year: She liked the rides and cool places, but doesn't really want to go back: Casinos & ritzy places have little attraction for her. But, then again, she says it's hard to find a good responsible man, there in RP.
But, hey, maybe there's hope on the trade imbalance -- as the Chinese get rich off us, we need to lure them (rich ones) to Vegas!!! Gee, are we off topic...
