Good morning, Miss Marple!

Yes, I got the pleasure of seeing Shep's histrionics last night. Actually, he seemed somewhat muted. I had to wonder if he had been reading our comments. LOL

Have fun spoiling those grandkids!

Nothing out of the ordinary so far. Looks like Israel is getting a better hold on things today.

Baghdad's about to get whacked. (By the good guys.)

I'd never seen this before (no wonder the u.n. is ineffectual).

Some kind of prophylactic for the "all-out assault" predicted by Gen. Caldwell? I read this a few days ago, and it didn't seem to get any notice in the media or here:

Gen. Caldwell said insurgents were streaming into the capital for "an all-out assault against the Baghdad area"

That's why the first thing Condi should do when she lands in the ME is check into one of those Israeli Dead Sea spas for a good, long soak, manicure, give her pearls a good cleaning, get a rub-down, get her hair touched-up and styled, have a top-drawer facial, pedicure, nap, read, work out, sample some ethnic delicacies, do some shopping in Tel Aviv, and write out some post cards. That should take several days to a week. THEN she should drop in for a chat with King Abdullah for a day, rest a day in Riyadh, then visit with Prez. Mubarek for a day, rest a day in Cairo, then take two days to see the pyramids and shop, another day to rest, and then visit the other King Abdullah for another day, and rest another day. Then she should visit Kuwait, another day of rest, and then make a junket to Ankara - a day to visit, a day to rest, and a day to tour and shop.

That should take about three weeks. That should be enough.

Then she can come home.

The "Stars and Stripes" has had articles about it for the ast few days.

I won't say much because I don't know how much information has been put out there. But I will say: We're ready for 'em.

Hotter than Hades here, too, Allegra, but probably not quite as bad as your location. We're in California! We're 12 hours behind you, I think.

Just checking in to make sure most of the world is still intact.. We're still intact in this corner of the world.

We're expecting some "excitement," though. (As if we don't get enough....)

Then keep your situation awareness high and your head low!

After nearly three years here, that has become my natural state of being now. ;-)
