That is hilarious...Kerry disputes Rush's assertion that Bush is the best friend Israel has...

And his examples all have to do with actions from decades ago...didn't say a word about what the last 2 Democrat POTUS did...you know, Jimmah Carter and Bubba Clinton??

Also...IF the dems gave them weapons...what good are weapons when everytime they use them..they are told to bargain with the Palestinians...and to CEASE FIRE??

I watched Russert give the President trouble. First with the President's spokesman discussing embryonic stem cells. It took a long time for the spokesman to get to the main point--the President opposes the federal financing of embryonic stem cell research. The President did not ban such research. Indeed, it would take at least Congressional action, and perhaps even a Constitutional Amendment, to prevent studying embryonic stem cells

The spokesman should have spoken as to the great number of adult stem cell studies suggesting benefit. If nothing else he could have read a chapter in Coulter's recent book on this subject. She correctly lists many of the studies and notes that no embryonic stem cell has been used in treating an illness.

The President's staff needs direct tuition in these matters. The answers on embryonic stem cells should be clear and consistent and begin with these are blastocytes that develop into humans, snowflake children and so forth.

RATs are consistent in portraying anyone not agreeing with them as knuckle dragging, superstitious Neanderthals who just escaped the local Baptist or Roman Catholic Church.

Good, informative and to the point answers are what are needed and not a stumbling around narrative. Memorize if you must but make sure the facts are on the tip of the tongue. Also make sure you can explain adult, embryonic and cord blood stem cells.

The book on the war was presented like it was based on facts. It was one of the better efforts at confirmation bias one can find. He decided the war was wrong regardless of his claims to the contrary. Just another campaign effort.

I can't remember the author's name; however, he was bleary eyed, puffy and didn't look well. I hope he does not have the common writer's affliction of alcoholism or substance habituation.

What really shocks me is Russert's open liberal bias with no effort made at fairness. He used to be more genuine, personal and fair in his treatment of Pubbies. Not any longer. It is campaign, campaign and campaign some more.

Russert's own numbers must be bothering him. Nothing like displacing one's fears onto someone else with innuendo and fact selection.

#276, it depends what you mean by Upstate. Albany is upstate and Syracuse is Central NY. They are their worst enemies. If they had a Cell Tower with a rotating Camera they could spot smoke on a monitor that is a long way away, but one phone call could have Firefighters nipping it in the bud. It would be cost effective because Sprint or whomever erected the Tower could pay most of the expenses and rent the space from the Landowner (Government entity)and the Government Agency with the Camera would only have to pay for the Camera and the monitors and the electrical/telephone Works in between. This sounds much too sensible and cost effective for the Feds, and as environmentally liberal as Europe is they have little or no problem like Americans do with Cell Phones dropping calls.

$1.50 per kWh does not sound right. For example a refrigerator consumes about 1.5 kW per hour. To run that refrigerator per hour would be $2.25. $54 per day, over $1600 per month. Seems mighty high.

the other night I watched CNN and they had a woman on there. She's explaining how Hezbollah picks up the trash. Then her little girl came on, cute thing, and she said Hezbollah fixes the desks at her school.

The "talking point" about the fascists in Germany and Italy in the late 30s was "the trains ran on time."  This is the same kind of stuff.

The left, ever helpful, was pushing for Jesse Jackson to go rescue the servicemen and women...

When a MSM sausage, packed full of Leftist offal, such as "Little" Russ starts in on someone like Bolten who is part of an Administration that is actually doing something to reverse years of dangerous loafing, I think the nation gets it. I know that enough of our citizenry understand that we are now at a fork in a perilous road, and we are never going back down the path of appeasement. I will admit that I was having serious doubts before Nov. 1994. But I am now convinced that even a temporary loss of the Presidency, which I can't envision, would only serve to drive more nails into the Rats' coffins.

Using Kerry's brand of logic, we can blame northern Democrats for being the party that favored trading peace for continued slavery during the administration of the Republican emancipator President Lincoln. That statement is absolutely true but not germane today. Kerry should reach for a history book instead of more botox and tanning lotion, although I think he suffers for a flaw in thinking rather than knowledge.

By the way Tiger Woods has just won The Open - he completely broke down in tears I suspect he is remembering previous times when his dad was alive.

So far it's almost all reposting (with some changes to make it fit on Townhall logically) the stuff I post here on the preview thread.
