That's the one. I have the DVD of the concert at Carnegie Hall, one of the first big things done after 9/11 to try to get back to "normal." I don't know if he's done that bit elsewhere but it was part of that concert.

I'll have to add a link to my blog to the YouTube version, once I find it (along with LOTS of disclaimers). Thanks for pointing that out.

Some facts on ESCR

Embryos carry the DNA that change two independent cells into a new human being. The amount of change required for the first nine months of that growth is probably orders of magnitude more than the change in cells from birth to a centenarian's death.

Sometimes the earliest cells divide into twins, and sometimes this division is incomplete and results in one living child, born with a tumor that contains what tried to be a second child, but whose genetic message was faulty. (Please excuse the non-scientific language. I am trying to express this background simply.)

Scientists who are rooting for success with ESCR look only at the potential of the early cells to transform into every kind of cell that could be desired. They refuse to look at the fact that these cells are so powerful that they cannot be guided into making the specific tissue requested.

The more mature (by nine months of division) umbilical blood cell has much more potential to be safely guided into making particular cells.

Cells taken from the umbilical cord blood of a newborn have already "evolved" for nine months, and thus are called "adult" stem cells.

Yep, it's sloppy thinking. Libs work half-way through the argument until they find a point that's "fair" and feels good and then turn off the brain.

Perfect example is capital punishment v. abortion in which they equate killing of an innocent unborn with the killing of a mass murderer.

Supposedly...

he's recovering for “major back surgery”. That's the only explanation I can find for his recent AWOL status on the Sunday talk-shows... and his MIA status from the all-out assault on the Bush administration.

The reason Democrats want a middle east special envoy is because they want to deny Dr. Rice or President Bush the opportunity to again prove how much better we are with Republicans in power versus failed Democrat leadership, or bungling by Madam Albright and Warren Christopher.

Democrats are trying to share the spotlight in anticipation of it working and their absence will be obvious.

My, our man Dick looks fine in those pictures, doesn't he? I must say, the last few years have aged him some, as they have W. Oh well, it's not like they're immune any more than the rest of us, huh.

My impression was Bolen didn't concede anything to Russert, but I missed some of it.

Fat Tim came off as a DNC bus driver veering left at every turn no mater which way the road went, he way pathetic. He was desperate to get Bush's advisor, can't think of the name right now, to admit we needed more troops and still do.

All the time ignoring the fact that we have trained hundreds of thousands of Iraqi troops who are coming on line every month.

Tim Russert just a DNC/DBM bus driver.

Does anyone who's NOT on the DNC seminar caller email list watch CSPAM anymore? I can pick up either the NYT or WAPO
and read the same 24/7 Bush Bashing at my leisure. Tragic how this formerly informative network has degenerated into the definition of political correctness from their biased phone lines to their selection of guests and callers. I avoid it just as I avoid other things anti-American e.g. Noam Cholmsky.

Rockefeller appeared on the Senate floor briefly to speak on the death of his cousin, Win. That has been his only contribution with the exception of one vote, on what I cannot remember.
