Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., got a little hot under the collar about Rush Limbaugh's analysis today suggesting Republicans are better friends for Israel than Democrats.
"Rush Limbaugh s ignorance and willingness to divide Americans knows no bounds," Kerry said in a formal statement on his website just hours after the show ended. "His latest statement about Israel is beyond offensive to all of us who have fought to protect Israel in the face of enemies committed to its destruction."
What did Limbaugh say that got Kerry so bent out of shape?
Limbaugh said the most frequent guest in the Clinton White House, besides Monica Lewinsky and the campaign donors in the Lincoln bedroom, was Yasser Arafat. He called President Bush the best friend Israel ever had in the White House.
"Rush Limbaugh needs to pick up a history book instead of a doughnut," Kerry added. "It was a Democratic president who first recognized the State of Israel. It was a Democratic president who first sold Israel defensive weapons. And it was a Democratic president who first sold Israel offensive weapons."
Kerry continued: "The people of Israel and the Jewish community dont need Rush Limbaugh to tell them who stands with them, and no one has time for right wing trying to score cheap political points while Israel fights to defend its very existence."
Arafat all but endorsed Kerry in the 2004 presidential election.
Arafat deputy and chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat told WND in an exclusive interview that while "we do not involve ourselves in internal American politics," at the same time "our region has been sliding deeper and deeper into chaos because of certain policies over the past few years, and this needs to change."
While he would not directly endorse Kerry, it was clear Erekat was implying the PA wants a change in White House leadership: "If things continue the way they are, if certain policies toward our region are maintained in the years to come, there is going to be a lot of violence on both sides."
A prominent Arafat aide who asked that his name be withheld spoke to WorldNetDaily from Arafat's battered Ramallah compound.
"The president [Arafat] is frustrated with Bush's policies," he said. "The president [Arafat] thinks Kerry will be much better for the Palestinian cause and for the establishment of a Palestinian state."
Kerry coveted the Jewish vote during his race, but also made a point of going after the Arab-American vote telling each side what they wanted to hear.
In October 2003, he told the Arab American Institute in Michigan: "I know how disheartened Palestinians are by the Israeli government's decision to build the barrier off of the Green Line cutting deep into Palestinian areas. We don't need another barrier to peace. Provocative and counterproductive measures only harm Israelis' security over the long term, increase the hardships to the Palestinian people, and make the process of negotiating an eventual settlement that much harder."
But a week before the New York state primary, he told a Jewish group: "Israel's security fence is a legitimate act of self defense. No nation can stand by while its children are blown up at pizza parlors and on buses. While President Bush is rightly discussing with Israel the exact route of the fence to minimize the hardship it causes innocent Palestinians, Israel has a right and a duty to defend its citizens. The fence only exists in response to the wave of terror attacks against Israel."
When Kerry's right, he's right... Harry Truman was president when Israel became an independant nation. Harry Truman was president when Israel was attacked by all its neighbors that very same day. So, I suppose that it would have been difficult for a Republican president to be the first... I believe that Marshall opposed supporting Israel, but Clark Clifford won out that argument before Truman...

What? Having sex with little girls? Hey, maybe that's why Kerry LOVES the UN!

Kerry: Arafat Is No Longer a 'Statesman'
John Kerry is flip-flopping again in response to the New York Post's revelation that he praised Muslim terrorist leader Yasser Arafat as a "role model" and "statesman" at least as recently as 1997.
Kerry 'met with Arafat. After September 11. After Bill Clinton blamed Arafat for the Oslo collapse. After George W. Bush refused to meet with Arafat. After Arafat had commenced a barbaric war against Israel. After that - and in the midst of that - he meets with Arafat. And he came away from that meeting thinking the answer is to appoint Jimmy Carter as presidential envoy and start the negotiations with Taba.'"

Now although there are many reasons one might want to vote for John F. Kerry, remembering Jerusalem remembering to stand up for the state of Israel is not among them.
It is true that Kerry's campaign pronouncements have been unexceptionable from the pro-Zionist point of view. Yes, he flip-flopped on the miles of trenches and fences Israel is building to defend itself from the plague of terrorism, first attacking the structure as "another barrier to peace," then accepting it as "a legitimate act of self-defense."
He has also floundered concerning what can be expected of Yasser Arafat. Just as Arafat was launching the second intifada in 2000, Kerry asserted optimistically that we must "look to Chairman Arafat to exert much greater leadership." Three days later, he portentously declared the obvious on CBS' "Face the Nation," calling the Israel-Palestinian conflict "an extraordinarily complicated, incredibly deep-rooted problem." What made this problem so extraordinary and incredible? "Arafat has forces around him, underneath him, close by him that don't want peace, that are working against what he is doing," Kerry said by way of exoneration. (And, to sustain the moral equivalence of the parties in his head, he added, "The same is true of Prime Minister [Ehud] Barak" which was nonsense, as there wasn't a single such person in Barak's circle.)
Kerry asserted on "Meet the Press" that it is "Israel's presence [in the territories that] puts Israel in difficult circumstances and obviously creates an enormous handle for Osama bin Laden for all the radicals and extremists to hang on to."

While I wouldn't go so far as calling John "The Snake" Kerry a "fraud," I would suggest he is a phony, traitorous, POS, A*hole, who was "singurlarly" responsible for the pain, suffering and disgrace we Nam Vets had to suffer all these years.
Everytime I go to Church, I pray to God that he will run in 08, so we can finally, once and for all, bury the SOB and his cotterie of VVAW, lying, scumbags.
While I cannot attest to whether he "earned" his 3 purple hearts, if the following is any indication of what was used to treat his wounds, then the matter is definitely open to debate. lol
In his 1997 book, The New War, Kerry refers to the Arab Hitler Yasser Arafat as a "statesman" and a "role model." - John Kerry continues to defend his book, whose subtitle is "The war of crime that threatens America's security", as one of "foresight." He said that America's worst threat came from street gangs; international criminal cartels like the yazuka (Japanese organized crime) and the Chinese triads; and computer crime. Kerry made no mention of Osama Bin Laden or Al Qaeda even though they had already murdered hundreds, including many Americans.
John Kerry referred to the Arab Hitler Yasser Arafat as a "statesman" and a "role model" - Arafat is shown at his Muslim Nazi prayers with Sheik Ahmed Yassin, the Islamic terrorist leader of Hamas assassinated by Israel in March 2004
John Kerry with the black Hitler Jesse Jackson, who has called Zionism - meaning the very existence of a Jewish State - a "poisonous weed" which must be plucked from the garden of the Middle East
"Palestine" and the "Palestinian people" are Muslim Nazi lies concocted to drown Israel in a sea of Arabs - Arab Muslim terrorist supporters confront Jewish soldiers at a checkpoint

The Israeli Security Fence
In October 2003, Kerry said Israels unilateral construction of a security fence was a barrier to peace.
I know how disheartened Palestinians are by the decision to build the barrier off the Green Line," he told the Arab American Institute National Leadership Conference. We don't need another barrier to peace. Provocative and counterproductive measures only harm Israelis.
But less than a year later, in February 2004, he reversed himself, calling the fence "a legitimate act of self-defense," and saying "President Bush is rightly discussing with Israel the exact route of the fence to minimize the hardship it causes innocent Palestinians.
Kerry's a liberal. Liberals live perpetually in the past. Two years ago, Kerry was re-fighting the Vietnam War.
Can't wait to hear Rush kick this pansy's butt next week!

For many leaders of pro-Israel organizations, Kerry's pledge to "treat the United Nations as a full partner" simply added to the discomfort--given that institution's decades-long record of singling out the Jewish state for opprobrium. "It's patently obvious that international institutions have a real animus toward Israel," says David Twersky of the American Jewish Congress, "and, if a president wants to be enmeshed by the U.N., it will of course be injurious to Israel." In a similar vein, Kerry's vow that, "as president, I will engage Iran" hardly sits well with those who view the Islamic republic as the greatest threat to the Jewish state. "Christ, even [Representative] Jerry Nadler has been telling [the Kerry team] to take a hard line toward Iran," says the leader of a major American Jewish organization.
******
The Republican Jewish Coalition has been drawing attention to some other recent endorsements of Kerry, which it says Jewish voters should be worried about - those of the Arab-American PAC and the Muslim-American PAC.
"Clearly these groups do not support President Bush because of his unwavering support for Israel and his relentless war against Islamic terrorists," RJC executive director Matthew Brooks said in a statement Monday.
"The endorsements of John Kerry by these two anti-Israel groups speaks volumes and should serve as a warning to Jewish Americans who think John Kerry is on their side."
Man do they ever hate being called out in public like that, especially when it threatens one of their "secure" voting blocks.
Kerry stepped in it. Challenging Rush! lol!
Rush is going to take him apart, piece by piece.
Oh this is going to be good Monday. Poor Kerry.
Rush is damned correct, but Kerry must know a passel of liberal Jews who take his stance. The right is a greater friend to Israel these days. The foolish Jews who stayed on the left too long are throwing Israel out with the bathwater.
Make peace with terrorists. Bullpoop. I agree with the Limbaugh Doctrine: peace through victory. There is no other way.
He's gained some of the weight back,
He looks fine:

I saw him at Dan's Bake Sale in '93, and he was not grossly overweight even then.
Rush is still overweight. He is probably not morbidly obese, but yeah, he's still a fatty fat porker.
Oh, and I totally love the guy. He's a dear friend and I hope he gets healthy and gets some real excercise.
I think Rush has gained back some of his weight. He's like everyone else. Gain, lose, gain, lose. BUT I do know one thing...he's said this over and over. He will NOT exercise...he hates it.
