It was reported yesterday that the National Fairground in Cyprus was rented as a stop over point where people could stay while waiting for flights out. The reporter made a point of saying it was air conditioned since it was 104 degrees yesterday.

Seems strange that these "undead" guys are not grabbing themselves some serious face-time on the AM airwaves, I agree. the other day when it was being reported that Nasrallah was injured he was on TV within 2 hrs I believe to prove he was ok. I find it interesting that he hasn't done that yet.
Maybe we'll all be lucky and find out that he is pushin' up daisies.

I saw only a brief story on that, earlier today. Was the 11-day-old child born in Lebanon - did anyone ever say?
I've only found the AP article, which doesn't say. I doubt it's logistically possible for the child to have been born in the U.S. Most airlines won't let an infant board a plane unless the child is older than 7 days (or has a doctor's permission), and no flights have landed in Beirut for about a week. Plus, I think the infant would have needed a passport to enter Lebanon.

The reporter made a point of saying it was air conditioned Hopefully, it'll have diversity in its sandwich choices so we don't have to listen to another day of whining about that today.

Me, too. But, I *was* the one who asked for that info. Maybe they're humoring me and they're really in Lake Lucerne.

The Esseily family of Dana Point, California, have been trying to leave Beirut for seven days. They've heard no word from the U.S. Embassy.
She is complaining that people who "werent called" are cutting in line...

If you search it on Google, comes back as Al-Essiley

You know, the last time they thought they might have Nazrallah, it didn't take him long to surface and start making statements. It's been over 4 hours since it happened, and not yet a peep.
Could be he's pulling a psyche out number on the Israelis, but on the other hand, why isn't he up and showing his followers they couldn't get him?

Maybe, just maybe, even though the dateline says 1:10 AM, which is CDT, my time now - perhaps, the story was actually filed 4-6 hours ago and everyone is safely ensconced on the big duck, from the little duck trips. We can hope!
