yum...Sofalass just brought me cookie dough ice cream with choc sprinkles...
Thanks. It just seemed odd to fly all the way over there, go to Israel, then hang ten in Cyprus away from the actual news.
If there is a blackout for other stations besides Fox, the only bummer is that all people will be seeing is damage in Lebanon, and not the destruction Hezbollah is wreaking on Israel. But I don't blame Israel for not wanting their operations compromised, if that is the reasoning.
I think he's serious also and there is something brewing. Maybe after our people are out we'll see some real kick a$$ going on.
I feel for the Lebanese people and their fledgling government, but at this point they need to get out of the line of fire and let this thing be done once and for all. The world will be better for it in the end.
Did you happen to see Col. Ralph Peters on Bill O'Reilly tonight???
I just saw him..and he said that Israel has made a lot of mistakes..and the worst one is not hitting Hezbollah harder in a surprise attack at the beginning..in air and by land.
AND, he took a shot at Weasley Clark..by saying "With all respect to Gen. Clark, an AIR WAR just doesn't cut it..and talking won't do any good."...
He says that Israel, by not hitting them hard, and pausing, has lost the advantage..and even though Israel could take down Syria easily....Hezbollah is a different matter.
Now...having posted what Peters said...I think I remember hearing that the Hezzies had buried thousands of mines along the border....and so any ground forces would be slaughtered...
I don't know how ya'll on this thread feel about Ralph Peters' expertise...I just posted what he said...and I certainly am NOT qualified to agree or disagree.
I think Cooper moved to the ship so he could mee that Navy guys.....hehehe
I tend to agree with you..
Well they have it coming!
and Israel deserves to give it to 'em!
CNN has a military general on now - saying the same thing - there must be a ground attack.
WHOA..that IS news. Thanks.
BTW...just because Israel seems to be "slowing down", please don't stop the thread...I just can't believe that Bibi Netanayhu is going to let Olmert let this "chance" go by without doing more to get rid of Hezbollah.
The Dallas Cowboys are now MY team...my city taxes have gone up to pay for their stadium...so I consider myself a part owner...LOL
I am in Waxahatchee often for business :)
