So far it's one armoured, one mechanized and one Infantry, I believe...
Sound like just the forces required for a drive into Lebanon, with a flank guard on the Syrian Border?

From what I know from people stuck in Lebanon, most of the major roads were hit, with the exception of one road through the north of Lebanon (there are now conflicting reports about whether or not that has been hit in the last 24 hours or so) but there are some very rough (and not great to use under good circumstance) and roundabout type "roads" (having been on some of the decent roads there, I'm not sure they really are what any of us would really call a real road...but...anyway...) that you can use to get through.
It was this northern road that many were using to get out, and where it sounds like many buses were corssing. I also have heard from friends that some roads are being semi-repaired in areas, so that may be playing in, also.
There are still some other places they can go around on rough areas to get around destroyed roads and then get back towards the other border poitns.
I wouldn't be surprised if high value items and targets head for the hills.
I wouldn't be surprised if they stay to achieve glory, either. It counts how real-world rational they are today, and how much they are playing Mohammad vs. the Infidels.
I think some of the kids who hear Newt will probably survive.
living here in San Diego with the largest concentration of military in the world, when I was 5 & 6 yrs. old in school we had to do duck and covers during the Korean War.
We understood about bombs. Also in certain parts of the city we had air raid sirens go off at certain times to make sure they worked.
I also understood about my many neighbors with numbers tatooed on their arm who were less than 10 yrs out of the Nazi camps.
Kids today in Public School are to busy getting from their liberal teachers the coum by ya message.
Ali, I am in Alabama. I take it this is unusual for you. And as someone asked, are they military jets? From what you have stated awhile back, aren't you in south Manhattan?
I REALLY wanted to see that video...but when I went to your link, it shut down my computer..nuts!
"reading without posting" is alright...
But, posting without reading the article is more fun!
Welcome!
Well, quite frankly we haven't really started taking this war seriously
You got that right!
You do that too?
Perhaps this explains his "don't ask don't tell" policy. Hmmmm....
Yoo hoo! Ali, are you here?
Sorry did not mean to offend any with last statement. I am praying for all of the good citizens in the world to leave Lebanon safely. I just get tired of terrorists playing tough and running.
I don't know...I have been out of the loop..
BUT, my opinion is this:
Israel hasn't had the world's sympathy as much as it does NOW...so, I think they are in the BEST position to go ahead and take Hezbollah on...with the LEAST amount of backlash from the Arab world..
SO..they better take advantage of it...if Olmert backs OFF, not only will he have missed this chance..but a LOT of his own citizens will be against him.
Every morning, before coffee. And then, throughout the day.
:0)
He didn't get shot in Houston.
FR has become about the Middle East, all the time.
