Reports coming in about IAF striking Beruit airport, if this is confirmed this is another sizable escalation. I think this article ought to be pinned.
Sorry Fox News...just signed up for CNN Pipeline.....comes in good via my "borrowed" wi fi connection...
CNN Int'l
3 runways at
Beirut airport unuseable.
Israel:
Beirut airport is hub for Hezbollah weapons
Not now, not on the CNN I'm watching. They've got CNN International showing smoke rising from the runways at Beirut International.
Sory, but we just don't have the reserves to match demand. We will continue to import most of our oil. Developing whatever oil supplies exist in the US will take years, even if the environmentalists can be overcome.
please notice the deafening silence from Saudi Arabia and the other oil exporting countries (other than Iran from whom we do not buy oil)...there is even speculation that the Saudis gave a wink and a nod to this..
We have tens of millions we could call up if necessary. Israel can't fight a war of attrition.
Looks like the Hezbullies will have to find an alternative mode of transportation.
...and they're lamenting the disastrous impact of the attack on the Lebanese tourism industry.
ISRAELI AIRCRAFT ATTACK TARGET IN HIZBOLLAH'S STRONGHOLD IN BEIRUT SUBURB-WITNESSES
I think you nailed it, again. The ChiComs can make this whole thing stop right now, if they wanted to. I think they are testing W's resolve in the face of bad poll numbers and blistering media attacks. Clinton faced the same test in Somalia and failed and we got 9-11. W is a different breed. He consistently comes back over the top of his opponent. Luckily, he's been blessed with weak opponents. I hope his luck holds.
Camels would be appropriate.
Thanks so much for providing all of this info!
We will not allow Israel to be wiped off the earth. Oil be damned.

(IsraelNN.com) Tens of longer-range Katyusha rockets have been fired from southern Lebanon into northern Israel.
One woman was killed in an attack on Thursday morning and last reports from Nahariya Hospital indicate 12 people are being treated for various injuries.
The participants aside, I know young people at our church who devote eight months of their free time working with the athletes.
The experience changes them, profoundly.
We've got more oil fields identified than you realize. You also underestimate the capabilities of this country when faced with a crisis.
So far in this war on terror, the American people haven't had to make real sacrifices. If the Mid East becomes fully involved in war, we will have to sacrifice, but we will also do anything necessary to meet and overcome the challenges.
That's too many men on the battlefield and that's a five yard penalty.
Another Wave of Rockets Strike Nahariya
08:04 Jul 13, '06 / 17 Tammuz 5766
(IsraelNN.com) Another wave of rockets has struck Nahariya a short time ago. Once again, there are reports of injuries. Details to follow as they become available.
I bet that you will hear from the Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, later today. Having lived five years in the Kingdom, I can assure you they won't give a wink and a nod to the attacks on Lebanon by Israel. Kuwait will also condemn the attacks.
