The laws are really specific if one reads the books and laws he was talking about. Those laws were given to man by G-d. And we were told to follow them or suffer the consequences. And I am not talking about the laws that have been altered by someone’s translation like "Thou Shalt Not Kill” which was never a law. The law was "Thou shalt not commit Murder” Some of these so-called Christians need to read the laws as passed from G-d to the prophets and to Moses.

On grounds for divorce, Jews followed one of two main schools of thought in the time of Christ, Hillel or Shammai. Jesus trumped both schools, going all the way back to God's original intent for the human race:

God instituted marraige between a man and woman, THIS is what "God hath joined together." No "man can put it asunder." No leftist religionist, no ruling of the SCOTUS.

The reason he never spoke about any of these topics is that they were so against thousands of years of Jewish tradition and teachings that there was no need to discuss them.

As was the case in most Christian religions' traditions until late in the 20th century.
