JERUSALEM POST: Syrian Vice President Farouk a-Shara said that Israel was responsible for Hizbullah's operation in which two IDF soldiers were kidnapped.

Lebanon is in the Syrian sphere of influence. Until recently, they were a direct puppet state of Syria.

Syria recently pulled out, but said that if Israel moved in they would attack. After the good eye doctor got woke up by four Israeli jets a week or so ago, he has been putting troops on the border and making threatening noises. This latest round of stupidity by Hezbollah might be just the excuse Syria needs.
